As we walked outside I saw the usual corner boys standing around talking and serving their "customers". I always wondered how people let themselves fall victim to the street candy. He tapped my shoulder breaking me out of my daze and said, "this me." I looked up and saw the most beautiful car I've ever seen in this area. He drove a pearl white Audi. It was nothing like anything I've ever even dreamed about seeing in person. When I climbed inside I was in awe. My body melted into the soft butter leather seat. I closed my eyes for a second imaging I was his girl and I got to ride in his car all the time. After I climbed in and he closed the door he hopped around to the drivers side and also got in closing the door with a light tap. He looked over at me and asked, "ready?" I simply nodded my head while coding my eyes. As we started on the way to my school I felt like I was floating on a cloud. The ride was so smooth and was bump free, not like the old Honda Civic my mom drove, which felt every bump and bang in the road. I was enjoying the ride so much I started singing along to the radio. It was The Weekend by Sza playing; something I wouldn't have expected him to listen to.

"You say you got a girl And how you want me
How you want me when you got a girl?
The feelin' is wreckless Of knowin' you're selfish Knowin' I'm desperate Gettin' all in your love Fallin' all over love, like Do it to last, last
Hanging out the back, all up in your lap
Like is you comin' home? Is you out with her?
I don't care long as you're here by 10:30
No later than, drop them drawers Give me what I want."

I heard the volume go down which caused me to open my eyes. When I turned my head he was glancing back and forth from me to the road with a slight smile on his face. I really saw just how fine he was. He had the deepest olive colored green eyes that you could stare into and get lost, his dreads were neatly done and pulled back away from his face into a ponytail. He had skin as smooth and silky as peanut butter and a full set of lips that let you know he could snatch your soul. He rocked diamond earrings in both ears and tattoos all over his arms of various things ranging from names to animals. He broke the silence asking, "so u gone tell me your name?" Snickering to himself. My cheeks instantly felt hot as I squeaked out, "Brook Lynn." He replied, "I like that name I'm Kaylin." I shied away from his stare saying, "I know." He snickered again and said, "it's nice to meet you Brook Lynn. I've seen you around and always wanted to holla you but nerves would get in the way." I was in awe because while I was secretly watching him from afar he was doing the same thing to me. We talked about everything under the sun. From age to relationships to our goals in life. That 20 min ride to school seemed like a second, it went by so fast. I knew we had reached my school when I felt the car stop abruptly. He squeezed my shoulder and said, "we're here baby girl." I sadly looked out the window at my school not wanting to move. I noticed my 2 best friends walking up to the entrance to go inside. I turned my attention back to him and replied, "I see" just above a whisper. We looked at each other for what seemed like an eternity before I reached for the chrome door handle to get out of the car. I grabbed my bag and purse then turned to look at him again while waving goodbye. He nodded his head goodbye and I turned and slowed approached the school.
