her clammy hand couldn't stop playing with her brown hair as she was waiting on the driver to  arrive. it was rare that an undergraduate got an internship at a company like skysports and this motivated flora even more to deliver the best articles. writing about racing was the best of both worlds for her. however, this was an aspect of her internship that she wasn't too exited about. ever since she was a little kid, she had trouble making new friends. it wasn't as if she was completely anti-social, in fact she liked being around people that made her feel safe. she had always been anxious about making the first move. consequently, she was always dependent on other people to make new friends.

she repeated her questions in her head as much as she could, changing her intonation an infinite amount of times to sound more confident or professional. her already refilled water bottle was empty yet again, because of her dry mouth needing to be moisturized. looking over her paper with questions one more time and giving herself a little pep talk before he entered the room. 

his demeanor didn't scream arrogant or smug, he actually seemed humble, warm and kind. this both calmed her nerves and heighten them. she liked the boy. she really did.
