Part 3

Clear Sky

Blue-Rain Moon

The Two Lovers

"We are gathered here today under the moon and stars to celebrate The Goddess's Rite Of Rebirth," Seteth's voice echoed through the room. The Archbishop, Byleth stood on the platform at the front of the room. The crowd of monks and saints cheered as she watched their joy. Today was like last month. People came to the church to celebrate an event, pray, then leave. Wash, rinse, repeat.

After the war ended, Rhea has been weak and decided to lay her worries to rest and pass the baton to Byleth. At the moment, she is in her room sleeping. "For how long?" you may question. It's been since the end of the war and after the first week, she slept. Nights are long without her friends, even if they do visit frequently. Though she does miss person in particular.

Claude.

Her future husband. Her massive schemer. Her "Master Tactician." Her everything.

She missed him dearly and longed for his embrace. So many things they can do together but so little time. He was destined to lead Fódlan yet he left his duties to her unworthy hands, stained in the blood of the unholy ones...

Thinking back on her previous choices, it saddens her. Everyone she killed... Dimitri dead... Dedue hardly survived... Petra, Dorothea, Bernadetta, Felix, Sylvain, Ashe, and Mercedes were saved before the war even began... The only person that Byleth hadn't seen during the war was Annette, making her wonder where she could be.

Everyone began to speak after their monthly prayer was finished. Byleth looked to Seteth, gray was visible in his hair.

"Seteth."

"Yes Archbishop?" He asked while glancing at her face.

"May I take a breather?" She murmured as the green haired man smiled.

"Of course, you may take as long as you want," He stepped out of her way as the newly made bishop left the facility. She wandered up the stairs into the 3rd floor of the church and sighed as she went out into the patio. The view from where she stood was breathtaking. The top of the trees were solid but as they neared the endless bottom, they faded into mist.

She sighed quietly as she undid her robe and collar. The burden was much to great for her slim shoulders. The wind pressed the thin fabric against her smooth skin, blowing around her curves. Nothing could possibly ruin this moment. And she was right.

It only got better.
