Sparkly Gerald

You watched as Jimin attempted to lift his suitcase into the back of the car. It was his 3rd one.
"Jiminie, you don't really need all that do you?"
He glared at you, finally getting the last case up and discreetly (or not) pushing what looked very much like a baby pink lead and collar set. None of you owned a dog.
You raised your eyebrows and turned away, leaving the flustered boy to whatever he was doing. 'Better not ask." You thought.
"Everyone re-" You were cut off by a scream and Jungkook pushing past, cage in hand. As you gained balance, Bree barged past and pointed her finger at the offending object.
"We are not taking that."
"Sparkles is part of the family now." Jimin shot back, patting the small cage fondly.
Yoongi stuck his head out of the passenger seat.
"His name is Gerald."
"Sparkles."
"Gerald."
"I am not naming a snake Gerald."
"Well I'm not naming it sparkles."
"Well I'm not letting that creature in the car!"
Bree seemed almost hysterical at this point.
You turned to Jimin and Jungkook who held the cage defiantly.
"And why is there a snake?"
"I found him this morning, he's coming with us." Jungkook said.
You sighed.
"Let the snake go."
Both boys scowled but emptied the contents of the cage in a patch of grass.
"Bye sparkles." Jimin sniffed.
"Gerald."
Jimin and Jungkook wouldn't talk to any of them for a solid two hours.
