In Memory and Faith...

Aside muddy ground, wild grass and wild

Flowers grew over the small hill infront

Of where i stood.

A cracked white wall bear your name with a large font.

For six years I shut my heart,

Finally found someone who treated me good,

Someone whom I recently proposed,

Someone, after you, would have half my halved heart.

But things never did run smooth for me

For "The One" left and never return.

For "The One" had someone that made her happy,

That someone who always made my nerves boil and burn.

She told me she loved me, the other night.

I told her, I love her still the same.

She replied then to have hope and hold on tight,

I said no matter what, the pain remains.

I thanked to God to give me love, seven years ago.

Exactly six years ago, God took back what was His,

Only to leave the remains on a muddy ground

With wild grass and flowers grown on its hill.

I died but revived by a girl

Who now belonged to a man.

But little did we know of the damsel,

God made a plan.

So now, Joey, next to yours , is my sweetheart,

The sweetheart that i gave half of my halved heart,

The sweetheart that left me for a man,

Now a drunkard man,

The sweetheart that told me to have hope

And hold on to her tight,

The sweetheart who told me to wait;

she's beside you.

Joey, Im sorry, I dont want to be happy.

God told me the one who's misfortune, will stay the same.

You tried to change it but God wasn't sloppy.

Coincidence? He took her too.

***

I believed in God.

I still believe in God.

I should have listened.

Now look what ive done.

What we did as kids was foolish...

But it was fun.

Thank you, both of you.
