CupMugger happily walked down the the street, humming a tune as he walked by. The cool autumn air soaked into his pores. He shivered a bit, knowing he had to return home soon.
He carried a letter in his left hand. The letter was in a red envelope, with a seal molded in the shape of a vivid white rose. He could see the post office in the distance, not too far away. He sped up a little, with big, long strides. In a matter of minutes, he had finally arrived at his destination. He walked up to the slot that read: "Outgoing Mail".
He pushed his letter into the slot and turned around to walk home. After a couple minutes of walking, snow began to fall. Inkwell's weather was always unexpected. "Isn't it too early for it to snow?" CupMugger said to himself. He shrugged it off and continued on his way. He walked past the bar, past Porkrind's shop. The Devil's Casino loomed in the distance. CupMugger had detested the Devil for the longest.
He was egotistical, self-centered, and an overall pain in the ass. He tried to take his mind off of Devil and thought about his sister, and how he missed her, and she missed him. The last time they saw each other, they were just kids.
After walking for what seemed like half an hour, he finally got to his house. He had a large house, not a two story one, just a large one. He slipped his key into the keyhole, and a slight thunk could be heard as he turned the key.
He opened the door and stepped into his cozy home, a wave of warmness brushing over him. He let out a slight sigh of relief, which was then followed by sweat.
"Uuuuugh, too hot!" CupMugger said as he walked to the closet and took off his jacket. After that, he walked to his room, and layed down on his bed. Finally, a moment to himself.
