Grillby and sans were now hugging, they both felt so safe, sans could stay like this forever.
Then there was a knock
They both snapped out of the comfort and got a bit tense, the underground was still dangerous.
"Sans, go to my room for now ok?, we don't know who this is.." the knocking became a bit more harsh and it got faster, sans went to grillby's room at the back of the bar, grillby looked back to see if he was in, when sans was he slithered slowly to the door opening it just a crack, a red claw came through clawing at the door.
"Sans! Sans! Are you there?! Please answer me!"
Grillby recognized that colour anywhere,
It was papyrus. Grillby opened the door slowly.
"Ah! Grillby have you seen sans?! He's been gone for 2 days now!" Papyrus sounded worried sick as if he was on the edge of crying,
Sans came out of grillby's room, his tail was in between his legs, he ran to papyrus hugging him as tightly as he could. Papyrus hugged back, his big fluffy tail wrapping around him

He is a dog skeleton. Sans and papyrus in this au are not blood related
Sans was an abandoned child left behind in the war. Papyrus's parents took pity on him and brought him in as one of their own and raised him. Ok sorry back to the story.

Papyrus hugged him tightly, he then looked at sans and gave him a scolding look.
"I was worried sick about you! Do you have any idea what could have happened to you!"
