The unsolved Mystery

chapter 2: Taking Step 1

The pencil repeatedly hits the desk as in room 18, a test is being taken that is more than simply a math test. Today the two boys had faced near death in a science explosion in the chemistry room orchestrated to kill them, a shooter threat in English, and now they sat in their Math class waiting for the next thing to go wrong, then again, they were warned that if they didn't join them, then they would make the unknown happen and maybe even kill them for fun. However I am getting ahead of myself, lets go back to the beginning.

***2 days earlier***

The two boys, Ethan and Tyler were becoming close much to Ethan's distress. The two boys were now living next door to each other and currently Ethan was trying to wake up Tyler, although this boy can sleep through anything. 

"Wake up dude! We are going to be late!" Ethan screams at him. Eventually he gets an idea and runs out of the room and when he returns he has an air horn. He takes it opens the blinds to allow the light snatches his blanket, and blows the horn right in Tyler's ear. If you want to see someone fly, then you should have seen Tyler when he was awakened this way. Ethan was laughing at him but after a swift kick from Tyler he calmed down before rushing Tyler to get ready for school. Once they were both awake, they hopped on Ethan's bike and were speeding to school. 

***At school***

Ethan P.O.V.

As I enter my chemistry class, I receive a message from some unknown number asking me to meet them after school at the back of the school under the bleachers. Now, am I actually going to go? depends on if Tyler minds waiting a little bit to go home. As I was about to text him my phone was snatched from my hands by my teacher, Mr. rat, I mean his real name is Mr. C, but he looks and acts like a rat so that was what I started to call him. When he grabbed my phone I stood up and grabbed it back saying to him in an irritated voice, "you can't have my phone, I mean its not like you were the one to buy it or anything." by the look on Mr. Rats face he didn't take what I said to kindly and before I knew it I was in the front office waiting for my foster parent to come and sign me out to go home, since now I was expelled for back talking a teacher. 

***a couple hours later when school came to an end***

I made my way over to the bleachers only to find Tyler there along with some girl. I hadn't seen her before, so maybe she was new. When i arrive Tyler turns to me and introduces me to the mystery girl. "Ethan this is Emily, Emily this is Ethan. There now you are both introduced, and I can ask my question. Does anyone know why we were told to meet here after school?" Emily and I look at each other and shrug as if to say I have no clue. Just as we were gonna say something, we were surrounded by these people in almost hippy looking clothes, best way to describe them. They're eyes looked at each of us, However, this one girl up front, she looked at me longer than I felt comfortable. her gaze seemed to calculate my every move and thought almost as though she knew what I was thinking even before I thought it. Suddenly her voice broke through the silence, 

"Hello, my name is Kathrine, I have summoned you all here to make you a deal, each of your bloodlines is famous in this line of work, and we invite you to join us." Of course Tyler seems to once again have a death wish as he asks something stupid. "and what if we say no?" 

'Has he never seen movies? you never ask the weird looking person that question, now she is probably going to say something about-' my thoughts are cut off as soon as I hear her say what I figured she would. "If you say no then you pretty much sign your death warrant." she says with a straight face as though killing some teens is something she does in her free time. 

"we will give you 2 days to think on it, just know the longer you wait to answer the more damage we can inflict." With that being her last words she was gone just as quick as she arrived, and this brings us back to the present. 

***Present***

"Alright class, put your tests in the bin, and then you may have a cup of soda that someone brought in for you guys" the teacher announces.

Tyler and I look at each other, then the soda, before we decide not to risk it standing up the two request to see the nurse since neither of them were feeling well, which was a total lie. however, as soon as they left, they kids who drank the soda all dropped dead from poisoning. How is that for ending the day? When the news reached them, they met up with Emily to hear similar things were happening to her class as well. Between the 3 of them they agreed to accept so that no one else would get hurt. 

This was step 1 on there path towards the mystery, step 1 was easy compared to what awaits them at the next step. I wonder if the 3 of them can handle what they set in motion.
