~~~Dallia's POV~~~
I barely get to my house before Nate almost falls into me as he skids to a stop, laughing. "This is my house!" I say, opening the front door. "MUM!!" I yell. "I'M HOME!!!!"
My mom walks in from the kitchen. "Hey Honey! How was you--Oh, o-oh who's this?" She stammers, smiling sweetly.
"He's a friend I made." I reply, attempting to keep conversation to the minimum. I don't want want her to bring up certain things...
"Oh! That's nice, Dallia. A friend on the first day! You must be popular in the new school! What's his name?" She asks, obviously pursuing for more information.
"Mom, I'm not popular. You know that." I retort.
"Well, honey, that's why we moved. As long as the kids aren't doing.... things that they did before, you should be able to make friends, right?"
And she brings it up.
Nate looks to me, confused. "What is she talking about, Dallia?" He asks. "N-nothing. N-nothing at all, let's just go." I say weakly. I pull him by the hand downstairs, leaving my mother confused. I can barely hear her mutter, "Was it something I said?"
"YES, MOTHER, YES IT WAS!" I yell up the stairs, closing the door to the basement.

I throw my first into the air, winning again. "WE LIKE IKE! WE LIKE IKE!" I chant. Nate laughs. It's been almost two hours of playing brawl, me winning the majority of the matches.
"Oh, shoot, time passes FAST! I gotsta go home and do homework and schtuff. But, Dallia?" He asks. "What's up?" I reply. "Can I walk to school with you tomorrow? There's someone I want you to meet."
"O-okay." I agree. "Kay. I'm like 8 or 9-ish houses east of here, the dark blue house." He says. "See you tomorrow, Dallia!" He says, grabbing his bag. I walk him out, then I go back downstairs to power down the Wii.
I sigh with relief. At least he didn't bring... it... up.
