Personality: Atsushi has low self-esteem as he was abandoned by his parents and kicked out of the orphanage, because of this he can't find any worth of himself. When faced in dangerous situations he'll be really scared but he will fight to protect anyone he cares about.
Atsushi is selfless, kind, easily scared and somewhat naive and simplistic. Has high morality as he wants to save everyone and a bit obsession with money as he grew up in the streets after being kicked out of the orphanage.

Past: Atsushi lived a horrible life, his parents didn't want him so they placed him in an orphanage. The orphanage was not kind to Atsushi, they abused and starved him. When he was 16 years old, they kicked him out to the streets. Atsushi lived in the streets, he didn't want to steal from anyone so he uses money for food when people were kind enough to give him some.
At age of 17, Oda found Atsushi collapse in front of his home. He took him in and cared for Atsushi. Atsushi was thankful for Oda and Oda decided to have Atsushi as his son. He adopted Atsushi and homeschooled him until he was ready for high school. At age 18, Atsushi enrolled to high school and this is where the story begins.
