If you go down to the woods today
The wolves will howl with glee
They shake the trees
As
They
Run
Their footsteps pounding the ground
In
A
Never
Ending
Beat.
If you go down to the woods.

The owls will screech and flee.
They lift off the tree
And
Take
Flight.
Their wings the whomp whomp
Of
A
MRI
Machine.
If you go down to the woods.

Keep the moon in sight.
It gets quite dark at night.
If you go down to the woods.

Stay on the well known path.
No
Detours.
If you go down to the woods.
But still...
A thump
A snap
A howl
A scream
Silence.
If you go down to the woods today
Beware of what you find.
Who knows?

Might
Find
Me.
