Can you, see me?

      What? It's cold, dark, night. It's night. I looked around to see if i knew where i was. Then i saw the moon, and like magic i knew. Kilo, that was my name. The moon was my father, and Artemis my mother.  I was the personification of night and the stars. I was on earth, i need to help to children of the night. Then the man disappeared and i was alone with my thoughts. I got up on shaky knees and looked at how i was dressed. I was wearing ripped jeans, finger less gloves, and a tank top. I was bare foot and i had multiple tattoos. I also had multiple silver hoops in my ears and i had a lip ring on the left side of my mouth. 

      In the far distance i could vaguely see a lamp. I looked around me. I was in a dark hole in the ground. I shakily climbed out and walked slowly and cautiously towards the lamp. As i got closer, i noticed it was a group and not just one person. They were holding bayonets with rusty looking blades. None of them seemed to noticed me so i called out to them. "I'm down here!" I hollered but none of them reacted. So i tried again and again and again, but i realized none of them could hear me. So i tried running up to them. But as i got to them they still didn't react, they just continued walking. When one of them was directly in front of me i tensed up waiting for impact, but it never came. The man was able to walk right through me. "What is this, why am i not her, but am?" I muttered to myself as i looked at the ground dejectedly. I then looked to the moon for answers, but the shadow of a man was gone, replaced with its usual look. 

     I collapsed to the ground on my knees. I looked down at my hands which rested on my lap.  Soon tears fell down my face without my consent. "Nobody can see me." I muttered softly as i stared at my hands. Even though my last question i looked to the moon for further guidance. "What am i?" I asked the moon loudly. "Why am i here?" I continued as my my voice raised an octave. The man answered not in words, but rather image he sent down in moon beams. It was the image of the a time that look several years in the future, it was of all the other spirits, they looked saddened and were in a similar position to mine earlier. There was also a boy they, by far the most beautiful i'd ever seen.  He was looking down a vile of sorts and a few tears were leaking from his eyes. My heart broke in a pain worse than any other i'd ever felt for the boy. It felt as if i known this boy my whole life. Like he made me complete. As the image faded out i reached out for the boy. But the light slipped through my fingers as i fell forwards. An unbearable pain in my chest. I let out a sob, the stars filling down with my mood. The darkness feeling lonely. "Please don't go... Please...Father."my hand reached out toward the moon but there was no longer an outline of a man there, seeming to have been just my imagination. I hear voices around me, talking, whispering. I knew who they were, they were the things people forgot about during the night. The foreign memories, the broken dreams, missing children, all of them, the voices echoed in my head over and over.
     
      The years have come and gone. Many spirits have sprung to life over the years some more known than others. I've also figured out that the only time they can see me is at night. I'm transparent during the day. But one thing is for certain, all the spirits are scared of me. Mostly because I used to be the lover of the infamous Pitch Black but I ended it with him after finding him cheating on me with Nyx many times. I've figured out I can do many things but am most powerful at night. I can create shadows and light at will and control them. I can make inanimate objects animate. Finally I can take on other, stronger forms. 

      I've yet to find the boy the man on the man showed me. I've learned that no one can hear me though. The other spirits avoid me, afraid to even look me. But I've managed alone, the animals talk to me and comfort me when I'm down.
