Cherry-Blossomed Year

Chapter One Haruka's POV

Hello there! My name is Takayama Haruka. I'm in a high school that which will close down in, what is now, two years, so I want to make some unforgettable memories here. My best friend, Sonoda Yuu, have this special relationship that no other girls have. I want to make these memories with Yuu. We have just began our second year of high school with all of our other friends.

I walk to the corner of the street and see Yuu's usual pigtails and in her summer uniform, already. I start running to her.

"YUUUU!!!!" I collide into her in a hug.

"H-Haruka!" She blushes but then smiles and hugs back. "How was your summer?"

I tilt my head, "Yuu! You basically with me all summer!"

Yuu nods "Yes, but I mean the times when I WASN'T with you!"

I shake my head, "Yeesh, I've always told you what I do, too! Silly...." I pet her head gently. Our other friends have already left without us, probably so excited for school, I suppose.

We finally get to the school gate to see our new classes, but it was horror.

"YUUUU!!!" I start to sob, "We're not in the same class!!!" Yuu blinked at me and looked to the board.

"Aw man..." She says. I look at her as if she grew another eye.

" 'Aw man.'??!!! Yuu, this is going to weaken our relationship! You don't care if that happens?!"

"No, I don't care because I know it won't weaken our relationship. Comon Hakura, get real. A relationship breaking just because we are not in the same classes?" Yuu was right, classes are silly, I thought. I suddenly rub cheeks with Yuu.

"Yes, you're right after all...." Yuu blinks and points at the board.

"Well we have the same lunch anyways-"

"GOOD ENOUGH!!" As I say, getting back in confidence.

After a tragedy of leaving Yuu to my own class, I find one of my other friends, Kotone, sitting a seat diagonal from me.

"Kotone!" I call happily. Kotone turns to the sound of her name and waves.

"Haru-poppo!" She shouts my nickname and hugs me.

"How are you?" Kotone asks.

"I'm doing great! How are you and Shizuku?" I smirk.

Kotone smiles, knowing what I mean.

"Great!" she beamed.

After the class, became lunch and I tried to find Yuu as quickly as possible. I think of the empty classroom, where Yuu and I secretly had our first kiss. I walk over there and see her standing there.

"Yuu!" I say happily.

Yuu starts blushing. "I knew you would look for me here..."

After getting some food from the convenient store, we reunite with all of our friends; Kotone, Shizuku, Yuzu, and Kaede. We all talk about our new classes and how we were all sad that we didn't have the exact same classes.

After the whole school session, Yuu and I decide to stay a bit later for just one, quick, lucky kiss at our special place, which was the empty room. After that, we walked together to our own houses and I instantly knew this year will be better than the last.
