Chapter Eighteen: Going Home

Maddy'sPOV
I woke up the next morning and my head was on Rhydians cheast "are you ready to go home" he said "definitely" i said he got up and sat me in the wheele chair "well then lets go" he said. When we got to the car he picked me up and put me in the passenger seat and then folded up the wheelchair and put it in the back then we went home.

When we got there Shan and Charlie were already there "mommy" she yelled as soon as Rhydian rolled me through the door. I picked her up and sat her on my lap "did you have fun with aunt Shannon" i asked "yes we went for ice cream and we played games it was so much fun" she squealed i laughed "So me and you can play tomorrow but im really tired ok" i said she nodded then i sat her down and Rhydian picked me up and carried me to the bedroom "so just yell my name when you need to come downstairs" he said i nodded then he left.

Rhydian'sPOV
"How long do you think she will sleep" Shan asked "I dont know its like 11 in the morning so she will probably be up all night" i said then i went to Charlies room and found her playing with toys "can i join" i asked "yes grab bear" she said pointing to the teddy bear on her bed. I walked over to it and me and her played for hours "Rhydian" maddy yelled "coming" i yelled back "i will be right back sweetheart" i said to Charlie then i went to get maddy but she was on the floor "maddy what happend" i said then i picked her up "i tried to walk but i cant" she said "well you have therapy tomorrow and you have to go twice a week so you will be able to walk in no time and the full moon is soon  so you will heal" i said then i carried her downstairs "ahh the sleeping beauty finally wakes up" "Shan teased "Haha" maddy said "are you hungrey" i asked "i am starving" she breathed "what do you want" i asked "just a turkey sandwich" "ok your highness" i laughed "haha very funny" she said "so how do you feel" Shan asked maddy "To be honest a lot better than i did in the hospital" she admitted "well thats good to hear" Shan said "daddy can you come and play with me" Charlie asked "sure baby do you want mommy to come to" i asked she nodded so i finished making maddys sandwich and when she finished it i picked her up and carried her to Charlies room "ok mommy you can have this one" Charlie said handing mads a doll "oh really" maddy laughed but i didnt pay attention to that i was looking at maddy her smile her laugh. Maddy closes her all of the sudden and bit her lip then she started to tense up "mommy whats wrong" "yeah mads are you ok" i asked she slowly shook her head no "Charlie go down stairs to Aunt Shannon for a second ok" i told her she nodded and headed down stairs and a tear slowly rolled down Maddy's cheek and she hasn't moved "maddy" I cautiously said i held her hand "it hurts" she whispered i looked at her leg and it was bleeding "maddy did you hit it" but she didn't answer i think she knows if she talks she will cry so I hugged her and let her cry into my jacket "its ok" i told her "Hey Shannon can you come up here for a secound" i yelled "Sure"

Maddy'sPOV
I when i was playing with Charlie all of the sudden i felt a sharp pain in my leg and i alomost screamed but I tried my best not to so i closed my eyes and bit my lip "mommy are you ok" Charlie asked "yeah mads are you ok" but i didnt want to cry infront of Charlie "charlie can you go play with Aunt Shannon for a second" Rhydian told her "it hurts" i whispered if I talked i knew i would cry "maddy did you hit it" he asked but I couldn't answer and i think he realized this because he hugged me allowing me to cry in his jacket "its ok" he kept telling me but the pain just got worse "Hey Shan can come up her" Rhydian asked "Sure" she yelled then i heard her walk upstairs "can you go and get the pain killers off the table" he asked her and i felt like she was going to protest until she saw me "umm n- sure" she said and ran downstairs then came back up "here" she said handing me the pill and glass of water and after i took it the pain eased a little but not much then Rhydian picked me up and carried me to our room and sat me in the wheelchair "i have an idea" he said then he carries me and the wheelchair chair downstairs "Shan can you watch Charlie for a bit" Rhydian asked she winked and nodded then he wheeled me out the door and we went to town "Rhydian what are we doing here" i asked "you will see" he said then we got to the town square and their was a big party oh the village party i forgot about this "Rhydian i cant dance" i said pointing to my leg he just shook his head and put my arm around his neck and my feet on his and we sort of danced with me standing on his feet and him holding me up with his hand on my waist and he kisssd me and i kissed back "i love you" i said "i love you to" he said back.

When the music was over i got on his back and we left the Wheelchair at Bernie's and we went around town stopping for ice cream then is started getting dark so we sat in the park eating dinner "Thank you" i said he smiled and kissed me and we started to make out then a car pulled up so we stopped and i watched as th little girl got out of the car and ran to the playground and she was laughing and playing with her brother it reminds me of Charlie a little "should we head back home" i asked he nodded "but i want you to try to walk i will help of corse but you need to start focusing on walking again" he said i nodded and put my arm around his shoulder and started to limp until we got to bernies and i sat in the wheelchair "you did good maybe crutches could be an option" he said i smiled and shrugged my shoulders then we went home.

Rhydian'sPOV
As soon as we walked through the woods Charlie jumped on maddys lap "hey baby" maddy said "Aunt Shan said that i have to help you het better so you have to do all your exserises" Charlie told maddy maddy laughed "oh really" maddy said tickling Charlie "ok ok enough you to it's time for bed" i said then i picked up charlie and maddy got on my back and we went to cCharlies room "good night mommy" good night daddy" charlie said "good night" me and maddy said then we went up to our room "Rhydian we were out all night we need a shower" maddy said so we got into the shower together so i could help her. Then we got out put on pjs and went to bed.

I woke up the next morning and maddy was still asleep so i picked her up and went downstairs then laid her on the couch so when she wakes up she is already downstairs. I started to cook breakfast then Charlie came downstairs "DADDY-" shhh mommys sleeping" i cut her off then i pointsd at maddy "sorry" she whispered i smiled "are you hungrey" i asked she nodded then t sat her in her chair and gave her breakfast "Rhydian" maddy said "you hungrey" i said and she sat up probaly confused "did i fall asleep on the couch i thought i went to bed in our room" she said "you did i went ahead and carried you downstairs" i said she nodded then slowly limed over to the table holding on to anything and everything she could "i cant wait to get crutches actually no i cant wait for the full moon tomorrow" she said "you know whats Tomorrow" i said she smiled and nodded "your birthday" she said "and..." i said "and?" She asked "you don't remember" i said she shook her head "its graces birthday to" i said "oh i didnt know that" "hmm I thought you did know but ok" i lied it wasn't actually graces birthday it was the day the fire happened and it just happen to fall on my birthday this year !lucky me! (I thought sarcastically) i don't want to upset her so i will tell her later.

Maddy'sPOV
After i ate i went upstairs and called my mom
~phone conversation~
Hey

Hey mom are we doing anything for graces birthday

What are you taling about

Tomorrow is graces birthday right

No it has already passed

Oh ummm well thanks anyways bye
I said then hung up why did Rhydian lie what is really today. "Hey Rhydian can you come up here for just a second" i asked "sure babe" he said then walked upstairs "how did you even get up here" he asked "well it was a pain ful walk" i said "so what did you need" "whats today" "my birthday and graces" he lied AGAIN but I stayed calm "Rhydian dont lie graces birthday has already passed" i said "oh umm whoops i thought it was my bad" he said an started to walk out the door "Rhydian tell me" i said he turned around "its better that you don't remember" he said "why" "it will just bring back bad memories and i hate that it JUST HAD to fall on my birthday" he said then walked out. Bad memories what memories i don't understand why cant he just tell me so I decided to call Shan and see if she knows
~phone conversation~
Hey whats up

Do you know what today is I asked

Yeah its Rhydians birthday

And

And i dont know

Rhydian does and he said that it was better i didn't remember it would bring back bad memories

Ummm i dont know maybe its when the fire happend

Wait you might be right thanks bye

Bye

Then hung up  and "Rhydian can you carry me downstairs"i asked he came upstairsand carried my down  and i went straight to the calendar and sure enough Shan was right today was the day of the fire i was mad at Rhydian but at the same time i was kinda greatful he was right i didnt want to remember this day but i am not going to let it bring me down i need to be happy for Rhydian's birthday....
