Chapter 4

" Darling are you ready to go." My Mom yelled down the stairs. " Almost be right there." I yelled down the stairs.

I quickly slipped on my favorite black knee high boot ,grabbed my bag and ran down stairs. " Oh my Kylie you look stunning." She said as she came over to the stairs to give me a hug.

" So where are we going." I asked." I hope you like it, it's a place called "Ramen's Steak House" I herd it's good." "Sounds good to me." I said as we walked out the door and got into the car.

" How is school sofar." She asked." Pretty good it's not a wonder land but you know nice teachers and friendly students." I replied.

" Thats great." She said. For the rest of the ride it was complete silence and nothing else."

*Dinner at the Ramen's*

"What are you getting honey." My Mom asked as she stared at me with her eyes. We had just came into the resurant and I was getting nervous of what whould happen with Mom and me.

" Umm I think I will get the cesar salad and a coke for my beverage." I said with a smile." Kylie tonight is our night no boys, no friends,no fahter, it's just us and since you live in my house under my rules. I will allow you to have a drink." I was shocked but yet not, my Mom just wants me to be happy and saying no to her offer would probaly break her since she is trying to be friendy.

" Well then instead I will have a Malibu and Pineappe." I said as the waiter walked over to our table. "What shall i get you laddies." The man asked."We will both take a cesar salad with a Malibu and Pineapple." My Mom said as the waiter walked away.

After a couple mintues of waiting for our food it finally came. " How was you meal." Mom asked me." It was quite nice." I replied ." ALRIGHT EVERYBODY KAROKE STARTS NOW IF YOU WANT TO COMPETE IN PLEASE COME TO THE FRONT AND PUT YOUR NAME DOWN ON THE SHEET!" The man yelled as he walked off stage.

" Mom can I compete in the karoke thing?" I asked." Sure but I don't think many people are sighing up." Mom said as she pointed towards the front area."Well I am going to do it any way." I said as I made my way though the crowd and towards the front desk.

" Hello, I would like to compete in the karoke thingy." I asked the man." Well here is the pen and papper sign if you please." He said with a smile."Thanks I said walking back to my Mom." I signed up now we just have to wait for it to start." I said. After what seemed like am hour which was actualy 5 mintues the karkoe competition rolled around and before I knew it I was on about to walk on stage." Okay everybody our two little darlings that will compete tonight is Kylie Jennings." He said as I walked on stage.

" And....... Jay Brooks." I looked up to see the worst person in the world, Jay Brooks." and how are you Miss Brook?" The man asked." Very well now shall we start?" Jay asked very friendly like it was hard to think knowing she was a horrbile person but acted as if she was nice.

" Alright the first song I will be singing Is Tonight Tonight by Hot Challe Rae." Jay said. As the music started to pump up so did Jay and her devil inside wasn't showing yet.

" It's been a really really messed up week seven days tourture sevan days of bitter and my girlfriend went cheating on me, she's a calfroina dime but it's time for me to quit her. La La La whatever La La La it dosen't matter La La La oh well La La La were going at it tonight tonight there a party on the roof top top of the world tonight tonight and were daning at the edge of the hollywood sign." Jay sang till the end to be honest she wasn't that good at it.

" Great job Jay now it's kylie's turn. " Hi I will be singing Lucky." I said as I closed my eyes and saw what was ahead.

" Do you hear me i am talking to you across the water across the deep blue ocean under the open sky, oh my baby i'm trying. Boy I hear you in my dreams I hear you whisper across the seas I keep you with me in my heart you make it easier when life get hard. I'm lucky i'm in love with my best friend, lucky to have been where I have been, lucky to be coming home again ooh ooh ohh." I sang and sang untill there was no more to sing.

" Well that was just grand." The man said as he went over to the judges table to discuss. " We have our final decisions everybody." he said waiting a while to get the crowd wild and crazy " THE WINNER OF THE KAROKE CONTEST IS....KYLIE JENNINGS!" He yelled through the mic as he handed me three boxes.

" Okay Kylie theses three boxes holds three of these boxes holds one of your little presents you get one pick only so pick wisely." As I skimmed my fingers across the prizes, I saw Jay shoot your dead looks at me. " I have made my choice." I said with a smile.

"I chose to give my prize to Jay Brooks." I should have not done that but I need a way to get to know Jay without knowing get bad side I needed to make it through my last year of HighSchool with no assholes bothering me.

" Well look at that folks sweet darling Miss Jennings." He said as he hand motioned Jay towards the prizes." Firs of all I might if not have won but I would like to thank my lovely opponent for giving her prize just for me, Thank you Kylie it means a lot to me." And at that moment I felt as if me and Jay will be great friends.

*After Dinner*
"I would think you had a wonderful time, your growing up so fast." My Mom said as she tried to hold back her tears. " Hello Kylie can I talk to you?" I herd Jay say from the back of me."Can you come over here." She said dragging me behind a car.

" What do you want to tell me?" I asked with a smile." Don't act like were friends Jennings were not and that bullshit you pulled back there was so fucking cheesey." So no matter how hard I try Jay won't be my friend.

" Jay what's your problem with me what did I ever do to you?" I asked looking her in the eye." Listen Jennings I will not be treated like this keep your dirty hands off Luke." " To be honest I have not one bit of interest in Luke." I said with smirk.

"Oh shut up you know you like Luke, Kylie admit it."

" I don't like Luke get off my case, listen I don't care for Luke he hits on me." I said turning my head and walking away.

"I WILL KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR YOU JENNINGS DON'T THINK I WON'T!" Jay yelled out.

                                                                     *Home Sweet Home*

"Honey are you okay, what happened with you and that girl Jay." She asked as we walked into the house. " Nothing I am just really tired from our long night I said walking up the stairs.

" I am going to go to bed now." I said. " Alright Pumpkin goodnight." Goodnight." I replied back. I quickly got into my PJ's and hopped into bed. I need to tell Camron what happened tonight, I thought as I drifts of to sleep.
