No matter the sweat or the pain

Travelling as far as an eye can see
Thru the hottest dessert and across the freezing seas
Even if you're blinded to all that surrounds you
Wherever you can go?
If your tied down to the nothingness within thee...
Looking into the darkening sky above
Wondering if those wings are as white as a doves
Or would it surprise you if they are as black a the night
Does it really shock you?
Knowing in your heart that your life isn't worth thinking of...
Facing the day is like fighting it thru the night
Trying to swim towards that ever fading light
Hoping that your life is worthy of the decision you've made
Was it worth losing your soul?
Was it, just to make your life turn out alright?
So I wonder if it was right to live
Thinking, could I have had anything else to give
Living and breathing is such a chore
Should I give it up and just let go?
To be free of this burden, I just smiled, and so I did.
