"Omg, Maddie! Are you ready yet? We're gonna be late!" I'm putting on some mascara and run down the stairs. I almost trip, but Sadie and Millie don't seem to notice it,  thank god. Nice, I'm almost late on the first day of school. "Sorry guys! My alarm didn't work" I try. "Yeah, whatever. Let's go." Sadie says while she storms out the door.

"Maddie, have you seen Finn lately?" Millie asks while she shows me Finn's most recent post. "Oh, yes actually. I saw him three days ago." I answer. Sadie raises her eyebrows: "Oh? What did you guys do?" Millie gets off her phone to pay attention to my story. "Uh, well. We went to eat some ice cream. And..." I start laughing. "It was so funny!" I keep chuckling. "So, we went to the place and we see that there is a huge line! So, Finn comes with this stupid idea! It was so stupid!" I try to breathe while I'm laughing about the story I'm telling the girls. Millie and Sadie look at each other and I realize that what I'm saying isn't making sense at all. I clear my throat. "His idea was to act like it was our first day at work. So we could make the ice cream for ourselves and then just walk away. And it actually worked!" I burst out in laughter, again. Millie and Sadie keep staring at me with no emotion. "It was funnier if you were there," I say disappointed. "Did you guys pay?" Sadie asks. I start thinking about it, but I can't remember actually paying for it. "Uh, I don't think so," I answer. Sadie sighs. Sadie is kind of the mom of the group. She really cares about us. "Relax, Sadie. Finn and I will go back after school and pay for it." Sadie reacts: "Yeah, you better."

When we arrive at school, we scan the cafeteria for the boys. "Maybe, the boys already went to class," Millie says. I doubt it. "I don't think the boys went without seeing us first." Sadie doesn't really care. She's not that close with the boys. She has an overprotective brother. Sadie grew up without a dad. And her mom, well, we only know she's sick. Sadie doesn't like talking about it.  So, her brother feels responsible for her.  "Well, maybe we'll see them later. I need to go to my locker first," Sadie says.

I don't have a lot of classes with the girls. We're seniors in high school.

Millie has medium short, brown hair. A couple months ago she had a mental breakdown about a boy. She went bald... I know, she's crazy. But it looked good on her actually. Millie has a British accent. Until she was 8 years old, she lived in the UK. She moved to the USA for her parents' jobs. She's a very good and sweet friend. I can laugh hours after hours with her.

Sadie has long, ginger hair. Sadie isn't exactly shy, but she doesn't talk a lot too. She just likes watching, observing. Sadie is the sweetest girl I've ever met. She's the mom of the group.

I have known Millie and Sadie since the 7th grade. Sadie and Millie were already best friends. I kinda came between them, at first. I know, I'm that bitch. But then we talked about everything and we became really good friends. Those bitches know everything about me.

"Mills, do you have the pen that I borrowed you?" Silence. "Millie?"  Millie's staring into a whole other direction. "Sadie, what does this face mean?" I ask while pointing at Millie. She analyses Millie's face. "This is a typical 'Omg-I-just-saw-the-hottest- guy-in-the-world' face." Sadie looks into the direction Millie's looking at. "Oh, there he is." Millie turns back to us: "Omg! I just saw the hottest guy in the world!" Sadie looks at me with an 'I-told-you-so' look. I start laughing.

I look over to the boy. He's talking to the football team, so he probably plays football. "He's alright." Millie widens her eyes: "Are you kidding me?! He's so cute!" I laugh. "Mills? We have math, right?" Sadie asks. I keep looking at the boy. He has brown hair and hazel colored eyes. He's wearing a denim jacket with a white hoodie under it. Blue jeans and white Nikes. A bit warm for this weather, but I like it. Basic, but cute.

"Boo!" I jump up. When I turn around, I see Finn standing in front of me. Gaten and Caleb are laughing behind him. "Damn it, Finn!" I yell when I punch him playfully. He's laughing while he tries to stop me with punching him. "Oh, come on. You know I'm stronger than you," he says. I start laughing: "Awh, that's cute. We all know who's stronger." Finn looks at the boys. "Do you want proof?" Finn asks. I roll with my eyes. "There's nothing to proof, Finn. We already know the answer." While I'm saying it, Finn comes closer and throws me over his shoulder. "Finn! Put me down! I swear to god, I'm gonna kill you!" I see everyone laughing. "There's your proof, honey." I hear Millie say. When I finally can feel the ground under my feet, I look around. Damn, this is embarrassing. Everyone is still laughing. I look around to see if someone is looking at me. Oh no, the new boy is looking. He rolls with his eyes and walks away. Damn... That's rude. "Hey, we see you girls at lunch. We have class, you know. Don't wanna be late." Gaten says. "Are you coming, Finn?" Finn nods. "See you later." The girls and I say bye and I walk to class. Millie and Sadie don't have the same class as me. So I'm alone.

Ugh, I have English. I'm not good at it. Since I was a little kid, I sucked at it. When I walk into the classroom I see that I'm one of the first people. I go sit in the back of the class, next to a window. This is my favorite spot. I'm at the back, so the teacher won't ask me a lot of questions. And if I'm bored, I can just look outside. I'm still waiting for everyone to walk in. I only know three other people in this class. I keep staring at the door to see if someone's gonna walk in. I hope it's someone I know. "Emma!" Emma looks at me. She starts smiling. "Omg, yes! I'm so happy I know someone in this class," she says while she sits next to me. "Same!"

I know Emma from last year. We became friends real quick. We're good friends, but not best friends. We just enjoyed each other's company.

When we're putting our books on our table, the last student walks in. "Omg, that's new the guy. He moved here a couple weeks ago. And I heard he's single," Emma whispers. I look confused at her. "Really? You too? I don't know. I think he's a bit of a jerk. But I don't know him yet." Emma keeps staring at him. "Why do you think he's a jerk?" "I don't know. Just a feeling I guess."
