I woke up early beacause it's the first day of our school. As usual sa una lang naman talaga ako maaga magising dahil medjo exited ako kasi lilipat ako ng bagong school. This time the location of my school from my house was quite far than the usual. My former school was used to be just a walking distance from my house, but now... Ugh such a life changing. I know how to commute naman. And what's the use of transferring to a farther school because I want an adventure kung magrereklamo lang din ako?
I was sitting comfortably inside Uv Express going to school. My new school is located inside the historical walls of Intamuros. I don't had a hard time riding a car because I was early and hindi pa rush hour. I plugged my earphone and just listened to my playlist habang naghihintay pa ng pasehero yung UV.
I arrived at school around 6:30 am without any hassle. Hah! I guess one of the perks ng mga pang-umaga yung hindi ka maabutan ng siyam-siyam sa kalsada dahil sa traffic.
I rove inside the vicinity of my new school. 7 am pa naman mag s-start yung flag ceremony. I noticed that it was bigger that my former school and mas liberated ung mga estudyante. For some reasons feeling ko it'll be a tough journey for me.
When the bell started to rang, I immediately went to find my section and my classmates. It was really awkward seing their eyes eat my soul as if kasalanan kong naging bago nila akong kaklase. But I don't mind them. Cheer up self, keep your head up and act nicely! I reminded myself.
When my first subject started, I just listened and avoid my classmates na sobrang ingay sa likod. Probably they know each other na, grade 7 pa ata sila magkakaklase eh.
Fastforward
It was already our last subject and journalism ito. When I entered our classroom, I noticed na konti lang kami. Pito lang kami to be exact. My friends chose this class too so it's not that awkward. I chose the filipino journal nga pala. Feeling ko kasi it's more fun? It's new to me, before kasi laging english ung pinipili ko.
Our teacher just instructed us to be aware of the current news and her regulation. Tbh kahit hindi ako ganon kagaling magsulat thus this is still my favorite subject.
After our little discussion pinauwi na kami ng maaga since first day of school pa lang naman. My friend and I decided to go to the coffee shop just across our school. Ugh I'm addicted to coffee. I like how I palpitate and worsen my anxiety, hah! I'm such a psycho.
"Tara ikutin natin ung intra?" aya sakin ni Jodie
I declined her kasi I'm not in the mood. Hehi, I will just enjoy the aroma of this freaking coffee shop
As I was busy sipping my cold Macchiato, I saw a glimpse of some students probably doing their thesis? Nevermind, what caught my attention is a guy, parang nagmamadali siya or may hinahabaol? Pumasok siya sa isang portion ng wall dito, ugh basta sa wall 'di ko alam ung name.
Hmm suspicious, Anong gagawin niya don'? as far as I know restricted ang area na yon? After I got bored, I went to the sakayan na. Katulad kanina hindi naman ako ganon nahirapan.
I know this place has something to hide, and hindi ako aalis dito hanggat hindi ko yon nalalaman------------------
For those of you who didn't knowIntramuros is also called the Walled City, and at the time of the Spanish Empire was synonymous to the City of Manila. Other towns and arrabales (suburbs) located beyond the walls are referred to as "extramuros", the Spanish for "outside the walls".[3][4] It was the seat of government and political power when the Philippines was a component realm of the Spanish Empire. It was also the center of religion, education and economy. The standard way of life in Intramuros became the standard way of life throughout the Philippines. The Manila Galleons which sailed the Pacific for 250 years, carried goods to and from Intramuros (Manila) and Acapulco, Mexico.
Construction of the defensive walls was started by the Spanish imperial government in the late 16th century to protect the city from foreign invasions. The Walled City was originally located along the shores of the Manila Bay, south of the entrance to Pasig River. Guarding the old city is Fort Santiago, its citadel located at the mouth of the river. Land reclamations during the early 20th century subsequently obscured the walls and fort from the bay. The Battle of Manila in 1945 devastated Intramuros. It is the place where the occupying Japanese Imperial Army made their last stand against Allied soldiers and Filipino guerrillas. The battle destroyed its churches, universities, houses, and government buildings, most of which dated back to the Spanish Colonial Period.
