"No freaking way" I whispered as I took in my surroundings. I was on one of the cities bridges that's used for bungee jumping. There was a group of people getting ready to go and another suiting up. It's not that I'm scared of heights, heights I'm good with. It's jumping off the huge heights that terrifies me.
"Do you like it?" Zayn looks at me excitedly with a huge grin on his face. "I never knew you did this kind of stuff" was all I could respond while looking around anxiously. "I'm not really. I've just always wanted to it and thought we could do it together. Something we will always remember." He blushed. I could see how hard he tried for this and how badly he wanted to do it so I couldn't say no.
"Let's get you two suited up and briefed about the safety precautions" one of the instructors came and ushered us over to the tent with the jumpsuits and helmets. After putting on our suits we got told all the basics and had to sign a few things and before I knew it we were standing at the edge.
Zayn and I had chosen to get the double rope so we could jump together. "I don't think I can do this. I'm going to throw up" I whispered while my breathing quickened. "Your fine. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere, I'll be here the whole time." "I'm scared" "so am I but that's what makes this so great. We're always going to remember this as the day that helped us get over our fears. If we can do this together we can do anything together" Zayn was so passionate an reassuring. "I trust you. Let's do this."
As soon as I said that Zayn's smile widened even further. "Hell yeah!" "Ok guys whenever you're ready, go ahead and jump" the instructor said. Zayn looked at me and I grabbed his hand. "Ready?" "As ready as I'll ever be" and with that we jumped. I screamed at the top of my lungs and Zayn just laughed the most beautiful laugh I had ever heard.
While we were hanging upside down I looked into Zayn's eyes and before I knew it his lips were on mine. It's was a beautiful kiss shared between two people who had just given their complete trust to each other. I was so happy. When the kiss finally ended we were pulled back up to the bridge and put our equipment away.
Once we got back in the car I turned to Zayn, "best date ever!" "It's not over yet" he replied casually. "Where are we going now?" "I thought after all that excitement we could just have a picnic in the park and talk" "sounds lovely."
Upon arriving at the park Zayn pulled a picnic blanket out and I grabbed our subway sandwiches we bought on the way here. We found a nice spot under a tree where we set up our blanket and sat down. For the next hour and a half we talked about anything and everything. He told me all about his home life and growing up and I told him about living by myself and never having anyone around.
"I'll go get us some ice cream. I'll be right back" Zayn said while getting up. "Thank you" I called out after him.
15 minutes later Zayn still wasn't back and I was getting worried so I went looking for him and was shocked at what I saw. Zayn was pressed up against the car making out with some blonde bimbo with shorts so small you could see her ass hanging out of them. I was so hurt and disgusted I turned and walked away. I got about two blocks before the water works started to come and continued to walk home crying.
I thought Zayn and I had something. He was so sweet but I obviously misjudged him. Why does this keep happening to me? Why does every guy make me fall for him and then screw me over?
I hate him. I hate Zayn so much.
