Heading Off to Camp

The bus for Marinette's school drove off to the camp, only 2 classes were able to go on this special camping trip, counting Marinette's of course.

The students were routy in the bus, playing peinguino, shouting out lyrics to random old songs. Adrien was one of those people, he sung "Let it Go" just to annoy Nino.

Marinette was doodling in her sketchbook. She didn't feel any inspiration so she didn't sketch that much, but she did manage to sneak in a little drawing of Adrien while Alya wasn't looking.

As Marinette was drawing, she overheard Lila telling one of her fake stories to Rose. "I even helped Cat Noir get a date with Ladybug, even though Ladybug doesn't like him back." Lila told Rose, who was very captivated by her story.

Marinette rolled her eyes and couldn't help but call her out, "Really now? Ladybug told me herself that she's never had a date with Cat Noir."

Everyone in the bus looked at Marinette with shocked faces, they all gasped and Adrien stopped singing Let it Go. "You know Ladybug?" Alya asked. Marinette felt a lump form in her throat, she got the reaction she didn't expect. Overwhelmed by all of the attention, Marinette nodded to Alya's question.

"Uh.. Yeah! Ladybug and I go way back. I even know her secret identity-" Marinette quickly covered her mouth on that last sentence. "You know Ladybug's identity!?" Lila shouted out in disbelief.

"No, That's not what I meant to say... I.." Marinette looked down at Tikki and was ashamed, but she oddly liked the attention and how it was on her and not on Lila.

"I mixed my words up, what I meant to say is that I'm best friends with her.. that's all." As she corrected her mistake, everyone sighed in disappointment. "B-But I do know a lot about her!" Marinette blurted out.

Everyone seemed to gain interest again and was falling for Marinette's lie. "How come you've never told me about this Marinette?" Alya asked, with an offended tone in her voice.

Marinette had the option to keep on lying or tell the truth, but she wanted to rub salt in Lila's "wound" so she kept on Lying. "She told me to never tell anyone about this. I was just trying to be a good friend but now.." Marinette's words trailed off, she covered her face with her hands and pretended to cry.

"I'm a horrible friend.. I broke our promise." She was smiling beneath her hands as she pretended to cry. "Don't cry Marinette, we all make mistakes!" Rose said from the other side of the bus. "Yeah, I make mistakes all the time!" Mylene added.

"Yeah."

"It's ok!"

All of the class tried to cheer Marinette up as she wiped away her fake tears. "You guys are such amazing friends." Marinette softly said with a smile.

"We're here!" The bus driver announced.

Author's Note: The introduction is a bit boring considering the fact that there's no drama in it. Adrienette moments will start happening in the next chapter ♡
