Isis P.O.V.
I watched as Nikolas arrived. He had a taller blond man with him. The man's hair was to his shoulders, straight bright yellow hair. His eye's were brown. He looked about ten years older than me and Nikolas. I don't recognise him. I wonder what he wants. They stopped a few feet away from me. Nikolas smiled at me but I chose to ignore him. No point on getting friendly with these people until I know what they want.
"My name is Orlando Draven." The blond man said, putting out his hand. I ignored it.
"What do you want with Aremis?" I asked.
Orlando frowned and dropped his hand. "Not very friendly are you?"
"I don't know you." I stated. "You could be out to kill Aremis. Maybe me too."
Orlando smiled. "Good point." he paused. The smile disappeared. "Aremis Phoenix is my father."
I put my hands up to rub my temples."Wait...what? Aremis had a son?"
"Actually he had two son's and two daughters." He frowned at me. "How did you know him?"
I dropped my arms and fixed my gaze on him. He certainly looked like Uncle Aremis. But when did Aremis have the time to have children? Maybe before I was born? It had to be. Or maybe Orlando is lying? "I need proof before I say anything." I said.
"Fair enough." Orlando grinned."My uncle Ambrose had a saying. 'In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.'"
I froze. He knew my father aswell. What else did uncle Aremis keep from me? I had family. I thought I was alone now. Why did he not tell me? "You knew Ambrose?"I asked.
Orlando smiled."Uncle Ambrose is the best warrior in all of Vesta."
I don't know what to say. He doesn't know that father is dead. How long had he been out of contact with them? "Was." I said quietly.
Orlando frowned. "Was? What do you mean was?"
"Ambrose died twenty years ago. On the battlefield. His illness took him. His wife died on the battlefield too. Giving birth." I stated. His face had dropped. He was devastated. "I'm sorry."
After a few minutes, Orlando looked back at me. "I have a cousin?"
"Yes."
"Who are they? Where are they? Is it a male or female?"
I stared at him. What do I do? Do I lie? Should I tell him the truth? He looked genuine and I've never been wrong before. But I should be cautious.
"Her name is Isis Venus Phoenix." I said after a pause."She is around this area."
Orlando looked round then back at me."Where? Do you know her? How do you know my father and where is he?"
"I know her."I said.
"Why are you not telling Orlando what he is asking?" Nikolas asked.
I'd forgot he was there. I looked at him. He just stared at me. His wavy hair blowing gently in the wind.
"Why do you care?" I asked. "Why do you need to see Aremis?"I asked Orlando as I turned my attention back to him.
"My mother's diary stated that only my father can tell us how to stop the war." Orlando said staring at me again.
"Aremis can't help you." I muttered. "He can't help anyone." I turned away. I will not let them see me cry. I am stronger than that.
"Why?"
I pulled myself together and looked him in the eyes. "Aremis died last year." I said calmly."He died peacefully in his sleep."
Nikolas put his hand on Orlandos shoulder. Orlando shrugged it off. "How do you know all this?"
Ok, Isis. Stand tall. "My name is Isis Venus Phoenix. Daughter of Ambrose Phoenix and Aphrodite Venus Phoenix. Niece of Aremis Phoenix."
They both stared at me. Then Orlando smiled. "My cousin?" He said. "I have a cousin." He leaned forward to hug me. I moved away. Orlando and Nikolas frowned. "Why did you move away?"Asked Orlando. "I don't want to hurt you. Your family."
"I can't do this." I said. I have family. But I've never had the love of a proper family. My parents had died and my uncle didn't show me love. He pushed me away. I spent my life learning to fight. Working on sword skills and my abilities. I don't know how to show family love. or any kind of love. I have to get out of here. I can't do this. I need space. I need to go. Now. I turned to walk away. But Orlando grabbed my arm.
"Please." He said as he turned me to face him. "You are the only link I have to my father. We have no way to end this war now. We should stick together."
I looked at Nikolas, who smiled, then back at Orlando. "All I can tell you is that Uncle Aremis told me i was the one who will end this war. Then he quoted my father and mumbled something about my hair being my strength." I paused. "I didn't understand that. But maybe you will."
Orlando looked thoughtful all of a sudden. Then he looked back at me and smiled. "You are of magical birth aren't you?"
