Keyboards and monitors

The sound of a heart monitor pulsed through Eliza's head as her light brown eyes fluttered open.
"Um hello" whispered a tall man from the side of the hospital bed
Eliza stared at him in shock, unable to move her lips she stared at him
His shaggy brown hair was pushed back and he stood with his shoulders slouching. She recognised him but she couldn't quite put her finger on where she had seen him before.
"Eliza?" Called a voice that wasn't as familiar as the one she had heard just seconds ago, moments later a woman in a white coat walked into the room shutting the door behind her.
"Hello Eliza I'm doctor howard" she spoke in a soft, gentle voice.
"I just came to check on you and see how you were doing and if you needed anything?"
Eliza shook her head and doctor Howard left the room silently.
"So..." said the tall brown haired man from across the room
"I'm josh by the way, I work in the office building next to you" he mumbled. That's where she recognised him from.
Eliza tried her hardest to move her lips but no matter what she couldn't utter a word.
As night fell josh sat down in a small red chair and dozed off, meanwhile Eliza gazed out the window and wondered, " what did jen ask me to get?"
