THE CIRCLE OF LIFE: HAPPY ENDING or JUST THE BEGINNING.

CANS POV:

At the end of this amazing day, like my wife, Sanem says...
"This is just the beginning, Can."

We've spoken our vows, with tears in our eyes, we've eaten the cake, danced our first dance as husband and wife, thrown the bouquet and kissed our family and friends.
NOW, we're walking hand in hand down the wooden jetty to our boat, THE ALBATROSS.

Sanem is crying again, standing on the back, waving and blowing kisses as I steer us around the coastline and into married life.

When they are no longer in sight, she drops her head and lifts her dress away from her feet and waddles over to me.

I open my arms wide so she can nestle inside.
A kiss on the head and then she looks up at me.
I hold her face and wipe her tears away with my thumbs.
Somehow I have a feeling, this may be the theme of the night.

And I can't wait.
To finally be able to comfort and caress her as my wife is like a dream come true.

SANEM POV

"Are we staying on the boat?"
"Err.. Yes and No?"
"Are we in a hotel?"
"Err... Yes and No?"
"Aww... Can!"

He's infuriating! And I can't help but stamp my foot and pout in petulant child mode.
But when he pinches my cheek and looks at me with that school boy grin and twinkling chocolate brown puppy dog eyes... I would forgive him anything and follow him to the ends of the earth.

I see lights along the shoreline. A small cottage on the sea with a private mooring and we are heading straight to it.
There are a couple waving to us... And I see them preparing something.
More lights appear to shine now, one by one like they are lighting lanterns or candles to guide us in. A structure with billowing fabric becomes illuminated in the dusky sky.

"Can..."

His name comes out as an elongated questioning whisper and my head yo-yo's between the lights on the shore and him, my husband. So handsome and manly, turning the wheel and bringing the boat into dock with finesse and accuracy.

He throws the rope out and turns off the engine. Jumping out, he holds out his hands for me.
I land in his arms and he holds me close. His mouth lowers and his soft lips connect with mine. Firm but gentle they move and caress.
We pull apart reluctantly at the sound of footsteps.

A middle aged man appears and welcomes us.
He takes our bags and we follow him to the end of the jetty but I can't tear my eyes away from the sight before me.
Can releases my hand and motions with his head for me to go and explore.

Set away from the small cottage along the beach is the most beautiful white oasis.

A pathway of flowers and leaves inter mingled with shells and white stars, lanterns and candles, all lead up to a four cornered canopy with white silk curtains tied into swags and knotted

A low white bed is centred underneath.
I walk around it and my eyes fill with water again.
Through the haze, I see Can walking towards me carrying a bottle and two glasses and I try not to blink so that that my tears don't spill out again.
