Lunchtime

*October's P.O.V.*

"Happy birthday, runt!"

Shit. Troy.

"Fuck off, Troy. I'm not in the mood," I said, holding back tears.

Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't you fucking DARE cry in front of Troy. God damn it I wish Steve was here to protect me.

"Why? Are you you gonna cry?" Troy said meanly, "That's not a good look for you."

"Troy that's disgusting you're my fucking brother! Leave me alone!" I whisper-shouted at him, "Leave me the FUCK alone!"

"Hey! What's going on here?" a voice said. I looked and it was Maya Wheeler, Mike Wheeler's twin sister.

"Nothing. Leave us alone," Troy barked at Maya.

"Doesn't sound like nothing." Maya said. "Is it nothing, October?" she asked me.

"Um..."

Maya was staring at me. She was in front of Troy, who was glaring at me. "Don't say anything, Lunar Bitch" he mouthed at me. That was when I started crying.

Shit. Now Maya probably thinks I'm a loser.

"You okay?" she asked me, concerned.

"N-no. T-troy won't l-leave m-me alone," I choked out, "and it's my motherfucking birthday."

"Are you seriously bullying your sister? That's fucked up." Maya said to Troy. "Come on, October," she said to me.

"By the way, happy birthday. You're sitting with me, my brother, and his dork friends today. You're probably gonna love them." Maya said, pulling me towards the cafeteria.

"Okay"

*a few moments later*

"Hey Mike, hey Lucas, hey Dustin, hey Will. This is October." Maya said to the group in front of us.

First there was Mike. He looked almost EXACTLY like Maya except his hair was shorter and completely black, both of his eyes were a deep dark brown, and he had WAY more freckles than Maya. Then there was Lucas; he was coloured, with warm brown eyes, black hair, and a bright smile. Mike wasn't smiling. He seemed annoyed with Maya. Then there was Dustin; he had curly short brown hair with a baseball cap over it, blue eyes, and he didn't have his front teeth yet so he had a gap when he smiled, but his smile was still bright. And last but not least, there was Will. Will Byers. He had a brown bowlcut, green eyes, and a shy smile. He was smaller than the others, like me. Maya had half black, half red hair (the left side was naturel black and the right side was dyed red except for one black streak), one ice blue eye and one deep dark brown eye (right eye: ice blue, left eye: deep dark brown), a few freckles and a warm smile. To tell the truth I've always had a slight crush on Maya. I'm bisexual but I prefer girls. I have short wildly curly brown hair with blond tips, grey eyes and a small scar on my right cheek.

"Why does she look like she was crying?" Mike asked, frowning.

"Troy. Fucking Troy. My own fucking brother is bullying me," I said, crying.

"Wait. Troy Harrington is your brother? You're a Harrington?" Lucas asked.

"Yeah" I nodded.

"You brought a Hrrington over here?! Troy hates us!" Mike hissed at Maya.

"Mike, what's your fucking problem? Troy was bullying her in the hallway. Not only is he bullying her, but it's her fucking birthday and he made her cry, and now her birthday is ruined, and you're making it even worse. I'm just trying to make her day better, asshole." Maya hissed at him. "Leave her the fuck alone."
