“I see you made it to the office.” Consuela said taping her pencil on the desk chewing her bubble gum as Christina walked past.
“Shut it, yesterday was just a fork in the road, I’m fine now.”
“You may be fine but the boss isn’t and he’s going to eat you alive right now.”
“I’ve been here for four years, I’m used to it.” And waltz right in the office.
He turned upon her entrance and Christina was beginning to think that maybe she should have called in sick.
“What took you so fucking long?” That sounded more like a statement than a question
“Excuse me but I’m right on time if you actually look at it.”
“Don’t sass me; you know I don’t take kindly to it.”
“You don’t take kindly to anything, if you actually look at it.”
He grumbled, “Just give me the damn files you left home yesterday and wait for me a few minutes, I have things to discuss with you.”
She fished them out of her bag and dropped them on his desk. “Here; if you need anything, page me,” then left the office.
Just fucking perfect, Mario thought. Christina has managed to run his gears…again. This woman can drive him insane outwardly but her efficiency is why he keeps her around… that, and maybe the attraction he feels towards her, which is not good.
Mario never mixes business with pleasure and ever since she walked into his office requesting the job four years ago it’s beginning to fuck up his logic. Sure, she’s not the type of woman he usually dates: well endowed in all her womanly features and not afraid to do anything when it comes to sex, which shows that Christina is the exact opposite of his preference yet meeting her piqued his interest, basically gave him a challenge, and that challenge grew into an unhealthy obsession to keep her near him and it’s driving him against the friggin’ wall and just a few minutes ago was no different. She doesn’t see it but no matter how simple she dresses-by the way is jeans, a green turtle neck and black jacket- she turns him on instantaneously.
Oh God, just thinking about her makes him burst below the belt and in a minute he’s going to call her. Dear Lord, Mario thought, please, do not let me pull her pants down and ride her senselessly; I’ve survived for four years just give me another day.
“You called for me?” Christina asked.
“Yes. Remember when I said I had things to discuss with you?”
“I never forget.”
“Yeah well, the reason of this confrontation is that I found another potential hotel business in Italy and I want you to come with me because of your efficiency and I trust you more than the executives I have.”
“Give me a date, place, time and for how long?”
“It’s the fifth of October at the Shangri La hotel. Be ready for nine; I’ll pick you up and for two weeks.”
Uh-oh, Christina thought, my birthday is within that timeframe; I spent that day with my family. “Sorry Sir but I can’t, you know I spend time with my family on my birthday.”
“And that’s why I went ahead and called them beforehand and they agreed since it’s obviously business matters you’ll be dealing with.”
“Oh come on, couldn’t you at least have asked-”
