We're Better Together

What Happened

*Camila's POV*

I heard Lauren say my name, at least I thought she did. My body was shaking and I startred to cry. I slowly walked over to her.

"Lauren i'm here. I'm not going anywhere." 

I looked over at her and she halfway smiled at me.

I sat down "Camila what happened?" 

Her parents calmly told her she was involved in a car wreck. 

I stepped out and got a doctor. She was trying to go back in Lauren's room and I wasn't allowed to go in. I started fighting against the doctors and I was escorted back to my room. I went back up to my room, and they put me in bed. 

I started crying as soon as I had to sit back down 

"Please don't make me! I want to see Lauren. She's my best friend, I love her. Please I wanna go back down there I need her!!" 

Normani stated"Camila as soon as your better and she's stable I will allow you to go down there and see Lauren. She's going to be just fine."

*Lauren's POV*

Where was Camila? Why was my body in pain? Where was I? I had casts on my body and I was covered in cuts and bruises, and I couldn't remember what happened. I remembered getting in the car with Travis, but I don't remember what happened after I got  into the car with Travis.

My phone was laying on the table. The screen was smashed. I had never once cracked my phone and it was completely smashed, but right now I knew that was the least of my worries. All afternoon I was asked questions, but I still didn't remember anything. They moved me up to Camila's room, just so it would be easier on our families and for the other girls if we were both together. 

I was breathing on my own, and Camila was staying one more night then she would be released. She promised me she wouldn't leave my side. That afternoon all the girls and my family and Camila's went to the hotel to rest for a little while. Shortly after they left Demi came to see Camila and I.

"Girls I am so sorry that happened to you. I'm here now." Demi hugged Camila and she hugged me avoiding any injuries I had.

Camila talked first "We're going to be fine. I'm being released soon. I'll be sure that Lauren is released soon. I promise. 

Demi smiled at her "You're always postive arent you?"

Camz smiled back at Demi. "Of course I am." 

Demi came over to me "How are you feeling?" 

As soon as I was goingt to answer that I started feeling a stabbing pain in my stomach enabling me to answer that question.

Camila ran over to me. She pulled her headphones out of her pocket and put them into my smashed phone. 

"Lauren, Take a deep breath, listen to your favorite song and realize everything is gonna be okay. Nothing is permanent." 

I picked up my phone and clicked on a Voice memo me and Camz made the night before she was admitted to the hospital. It was her and I singing our newest song that hadn't been released yet. It was called Sledgehammer. Camila had a headphone in and she was smiling at me. Half way through I pulled my headphones out and Demi was listening to it with us.

1 WEEK LATER

*Camia's POV*

Lauren got released today. I was back in the studio here singing and practicing. I was also resting at anytime I could. Lauren was walking with a cast boot and sometimes also crutches. She could hold a microphone. We has postponed our tour for 2 more weeks to give Lauren time to rest and get to boundaries back. She had been talking to cops and reporters about the accident since she was stable. When we walked she would hold onto my arm or crutches. She was smiling all the time. She didn't mean the attention Fifth Harmony was getting from all this. Neither Lauren or I were blamed for anything so it was just extra attention the girls and i were getting. 

We had went went home. I flew back home with Lauren and her family and my family. Lauren and I didn't want to leave when we got to the airport. So Lauren went home with me, just to keep things normal as possible. When we got to Camils's house we went to her bedroom and I layed down on the bed and I hugged her. 

"I wanted to thank you for making everything as normal as possible these last few weeks."

"Lauren I should be thanking you."  

We smiled at eachother Lauren picked up a pillow and hit me with it "Got you!!"

She laughed."You did didn't you."

Sofi came in and brought us movies to watch. She brought us the notebook. 

"I figured you girls would want a movie. I also made popcorn. Mama is going to bring it up to you guys. I am 6 there is only so much I can carry." 

My mom brought us popcorm and drinks. "If you girls need anything me and your papa will downstairs watching a movie with Sofi."

"Thanks mom."

After she left I put the movie and I layed down with my back against the headboard sitting next to Lauren. She smiled at me. Then she placed her legs on me. Her ankle had a cast on it so it was really heavy laying on mine. I didn't mind it. I was just happy she was alright.

 The movie was about halfway through and Lauren looked at me and smiled. 

"What are you smiling at Jauregui?" 

She laughed "At how cute you are Cabello."

I blushed. Then she pulled my smal body onto her body and she made me lay her head on her chest. I listened to the sound of her heartbeat and I smiled. "Lauren, I really love this right now."

"I know you do Camz. I am really glad we get to spend this time alone. 

Once the movie ended I fell asleep laying on Lauren's chest. When I woke up Lauren was smiling at me. I was smiling back at her. Then i realized today she would have to leave me, and I got depressed. i didn't want to see Lauren leave. 

"Lauren I don't want you to go home."

"Then I won't. I'll stay with you. I will never leave my Camz."
