This chapter is entirely about the Stone Age. All the Stone Age people (or at least the Paelothic people) could never stay in the same place for long. They moved frequently, in search of food. This meant that Stone Age Man had no extra time to build any monuments or anything.

This all changed when a new thought cropped up. This big change in human History was called The Neolithic Revolution. The people realised that they could keep animals fenced up and could grow plants in the ground. So they started doing just that. They now had time to do other things, like building monuments.

This was a very important revolution because had it not happened, it is possible instead of reading this book, you would be out looking for Wild Boar or edible plants.
