"I liked it tonight"
Stefan says while holding my hand in his as we walk upto my driveway.

"Me too" I glance up at him. Blushing a little I look away to the other side when I catch him staring at me.

Stefan had taken me to an amazing restaurant in the other side of our small town which served delicious sea-foods. Unfortunately, I am allergic to sea foods so had to stick to the vegetables alongside the dishes they served.
It wasn't Stefan's fault, he didn't know about my allergies and though he had put a lot of effort to choose the beautiful restaurant, he was disappointed when I couldn't enjoy it the same way he had planned. However, he treated me to a mouthwatering butterscotch Ice-cream afterwards which more or less covered my dinner plans for tonight.

"Want to go out again?" He asks nervously as his dark gray eyes glisten in the street light, "I promise to find a better place than this one that doesn't serve sea-foods"

I laugh slightly at his remarks, "Sure.. I would love to.."

"Yeah?" My answer seems to have brighten his mood as he scratches the back of his neck and steps closer, "I will be going then.."

He pauses for a bit before leaning forward and giving me a small electrifying kiss on the lips.
He soon moves back and smirks my way before walking back to his car.

I bit my lower lip to savour in the glorious moment I just had with Stefan Dallas. This has to be my third and the best kiss till now, the previous one with Ben Coleman was the disaster of the century... Oh god! Thinking of that makes me want to puke again.

I turn and look at my house which still stands straight after all the things it's been through.

As always the first thing I do after walking inside my house is fish out my phone and text Dad.

Me: I reached home.

Dad: Yeah? You are ten minutes late, Missy.
I roll my eyes at the text.

Me: Dad, I told you I was going out with Stefan.. It's alright.

Dad: Okay! Go freshen up and check with your Mother once. She might have not had her dinner yet. I'll be late.

Me: Sure.

I sigh defeatedly at the text as it is noting new. I walk into the dark house all by myself. Mom must be upstairs. I switch on the lights downstairs, take a quick glance in the kitchen and walk up to the room.
As guessed, she is sitting by the window in the dark, her back turned towards me.

"Mom" I call out softly as she shifts in her chair.

"Who?" She turns around in the darkness and searches. I walk up and switch on the dim table lamp and her face stills on me.

She inhales and slowly her face curves up the smile I want to see every second of everyday, "Oh hon, it's you.. I thought.. Come here darling" She stretches her hand out and calls me.

I walk and hold her hand, "Hi Mommy" I say as I wrap my arms around her seated figure from back while resting my face on her shoulder and take in the warmth she always radiates, "What are you doing in the dark?"
I guess I know the reason, but everytime I ask her, I wish her answer will someday change to something else and thus hurt a little less, but it doesn't.

"You know, just reminiscing the old days" She says as she holds my palms and squeezes them, "I almost forgot, you had a date tonight, right? With that Dallas kid- Stefan?"

"Yeah.." I smile feebly as she pulls me and asks me to sit infront of her.

"So? How'd it go?" She smiles innocently.
