Chapter 5

Recap

"Ok ok, lets go to sleep though we have to move the animals in tomorrow, and that is going to be a lot of work."

"Yeah, Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She left my room, turning of my lights, letting me drift of to sleep.

/Present/

"CRAP!" I woke up at 8:45. History just loves to repeat itself doesn't it? Chaeyoung is going to kill me for waking up late again. I got ready as fast as I could and tried making it look like I was awake for a while till I realized, the house was still quiet. Is she still asleep? I left my room, walking towards hers, opening the door. Only to find her still asleep, making me smirk. I found a bucket in one of our boxes and filled it with ice cold water. Walking back, Started giggling. I thought I was going to be dead for waking up late? Well, I know i am going to be dead because of this.  I stood in front of her looking at her face, I felt a bit of guilt but remembered she had to get up somehow, and dumped the water on her head. She jumped up, colliding her head with the bucket, making me laugh and her glare at me. She looked mad,

"Oh, you are so DEAD!!" I ran out of her room with her chasing me. I couldn't stop laughing knowing that she will give up after a bit. When she finally stopped I told her,

"Go get ready, We have to pick up the animals." she looked shocked, as if she forgot about it

"OMG!!!!! I forgot about that. Hold on." She ran back to her room in panic making me laugh once again. 

Time skip

When we got into the shelter I saw Jennie packing her desk and asked her,

¨Hey, when is it closing? I only know I have to take the animals today.¨ She looked at me sadly and responded

¨We were supposed to close in 5 days, but it got moved to today. We are just cleaning up and packing our stuff. If you have to get the animals I can help you get their stuff once i'm done.¨

¨That would be great, thank you.¨ I smiled at her and walked to Mrs. Johnson's office to see the animals I would take home. I knocked on the door, walking in after I heard 'Come in'.

¨Hello, Mrs. Johnson. I wanted to see which animals I would be taking home.¨ She looked up at me instantly smiling.

¨Oh, right. Follow me, I have them in a separate room from the others so I wouldn't forget.¨ She stood up and walked out of the office with me and Chaeyoung following closely behind. We got to a door I passed by everyday but never payed attention to, so I was curious about what was in there. She opened the door for me to see 9 animals. I was shocked, 9 ANIMALS! I don't know how I am going to take care of 9 animals on my own. 

¨These are the animals you are taking care of. They already have names, and I have folders for each of them with their information.¨ I nodded realizing, I have never seen them with the rest of the animals I took care of. When I snapped back into reality I noticed Mrs. Johnson was no longer in the room, so I took the folders on the table and put them in my bag, then starting to pack their stuff into boxes. Once Jennie came in to help, it moved a lot quicker. I am still not sure if I will have enough room in the car for all of them. I got all the boxes into the trunk and started to get the animals in. I didn't take in what kind of animals they were till now when I noticed one of them was a fox. Oh boy, this is going to be quite the experience. Chaeyoung got into the car and drove back home, while I read the folders Mrs. Johnson left.
