<chapter 8>
Melinda's POV
I started struggling against the restraints, but it was no use. Someone came into the room. "Mel, Mel, I thought you were smart. Out of all people I didn't think you'd be stupid enough to come alone even for Louis' sake."
"I didn't want you to hurt him. I did it for him, not for you. You got what you wanted now let me go and prove to me that Louis is okay."
"But if I let you go" he started as he got closer to me "Then what I want, goes too" he stroked my face, and I turned. "Where's Louis?" "In the hospital where he should be. He's actually been there since yesterday, after he got shot." "What?! So this was all a trap, you were never truly capable of harming him." I asked shocked.
"Well what did you think I was?" he asked mockingly.
"Please, if you let me go I'll give us a chance" I said desperately.
Zac's POV
"I didn't want you to hurt him. I did it for him, not for you. You got what you wanted now let me go and prove to me that Louis is okay."
I had her in my grasp, I knew she would come, I knew she cared about Louis I could see it in her eyes especially when I "shot" him.
"But if I let you go" I started as I got closer to her "Then what I want, goes too" I stroked her face, and she turned away from me like I knew she would. "Where's Louis?"
"In the hospital where he should be. He's actually been there since yesterday, after he got shot."again another lie. "What?! So this was all a trap, you were never truly capable of harming him." She asked shocked.
"Well what did you think I was?" I asked mockingly, I can't really believe she'd really think I could really shoot him.
"Please, if you let me go I'll give us a chance" she said desperately.
I was about to say something back to show her I was in control, when suddenly the realization of what she said hit me.
"You'll give us a chance? So you'll be my girlfriend?" I asked totally not expecting that. Tears were streaming down her face, I felt like I should feel bad, but for some reason it made me want her more.
"Yes please...just let me go."
Melinda's POV
"You'll give us a chance? So you'll be my girlfriend?" he asked totally not expecting that. Tears were streaming down my face.
"Yes please...just let me go." Zac seemed really shocked, but he untied me and asked "Do I get a kiss" I got off the bed, and started to run. He grabbed me by the waist, pulled me back and said"No, no, no, we had a deal remember or I'll tie you back up"
"No, no, please, okay I'll do anything, I'll kiss you just let me go." He turned me towards him, getting his face closer, inches from mine. I leaned in and softly pecked him in the mouth.
His lips were soft...I pulled back. He let me go and as soon as he did I ran out of his house.
I was outside running through the woods. I called Matt "Matt, why didn't you call the police? I need you to pick me up at the lake. Hurry! Oh and bring some clothes." I was so nervous and scared I kept glancing back afraid Zac was going to be behind me.
I was almost at the lake. I got there and I bumped into someone. I screamed thinking it was Zac. "Melinda, calm down" Matt whispered. The moon shown through the trees and it was Matt.
I felt relieved and embarrassed at the same time. "Did you bring the clothes?"
"Ya" he handed me a large t-shirt and some shorts. I quickly put them on. "Why didn't you call the police?" I asked as we got into the car. "You texted me telling me Louis was fine and nothing had gone wrong." "What?" I asked "I didn't text you"
I checked my phone and there was a message sent from me, damn Zac was good. "Well you should've called because that's not what happened" I whispered angrily. "Then what did happen?" he askedcuriously.
I told him the past events and how I was technically his girlfriend. He seemed shocked and asked "Are you really going to be his girlfriend?" "Do I have another choice I asked scared.
We had gotten to his house. I went in and fell fast asleep on his bed. Tomorrow was a day worth looking forward...right?
