first part, nice.
It was a brisk November morning at Appalachian Valley School of Fine Arts (AVSFA for short). Three boys stood in the front office awkwardly as they waited for a secretary or some form of a tour guide to show up. They didn't know one another, but the tallest of the group decided to change that.
"Well, it seems like it's going to be a minute, so lets introduce ourselves. I'm Gwilym Lee, but I go by Gwil." The lanky man boy or Gwil, as he said, answered.
The two other boys were taken by surprise by Gwil's sudden action, but the other brunette boy decided to follow.
"I'm Allen Leech and I'm here for the performing Arts!" Allen gleefully said. The last boy, a blond with long hair, just continued to stare down at his feet.
"You gonna introduce yourself?" Allen asked, suddenly curious about the blond boys lack of an introduction.
"Oh, sorry. I'm Ben Jones..." The blond mumbled, not really giving anymore details besides his name.
"A shy one huh?" Allen said, "well that's alright, I'm sure you'll burst out of your bubble and make friends in no time!".
Ben simply just nodded to Allen, not necessarily caring about what he had just said. Allen and Gwil continue to talk until they heard the sound of a knob twist. The sound grabbed the threes attention and within a second the door burst open to reveal a boy around the same height as Allen and Ben, maybe an inch shorter.
The boy was wearing something you would see in the 90's. His attire consisted of a graphic tee shirt of a man none of the others recognize, and a raincoat that was a dark forest green with squares of red, tan, and navy blue scatter across the front and sleeves of the jacket. His jeans were cuffed at the bottom (big bi-energy) and wore some clean white nikes.
The boys face was something different. He had somewhat long auburn-ish hair, a pointy nose with an indent at the tip, and had some stubble around his face that was more ginger than the rest of his hair. Something the three boys weren't used to seeing.
"You the new kids?" The ginger kid asked. He looked at the boys, judging them silently.
"Um... yeah?" Gwil answered in a questioning tone.
"Aah okay, I'm Joe, and I'll be showing you three around." he continued, "and what are your guys names?"
"Oh, I'm Allen, the giraffe man is Gwilym, and the shy blond over there is Ben." Allen answered for the whole group. Gwil and Ben simply nodded to sign that was indeed true.
"Alright, you nerds ready to learn where all your dorms, cafeteria, and main buildings are at?" Joe asked jokingly. While the other two laughed, Ben tensed a little at the little nerd comment.
'What if they know who I am?' Ben thought worryingly. Allen seemed to notice, and place his hand onto Ben's shoulders.
"Hey Ben, it's alright! We all have our 'first day jitters', you're going to be fine." Allen told him.
"Yeah, first day jitters..." Ben said, although it didn't really convince Allen.
"Hey mate, you can talk to me whenever, alright?" Allen told him, trying to relax Ben.
"I'll keep that in mind." Ben replied. This seemed to make Allen happy for the time being. The now four boys exited the office and began to walk out of the building.
It was early enough to where the sun was just rising and hints of red, orange, yellow, and pink were scatter across the morning sky. Now why the heads of the school wanted the three to be at the office that early in the morning, and yet not show up themselves, was a mystery to them.
Joe guided them across the school's huge campus, explaining every building and its purpose. After walking around for about 45 minutes Joe had finally showed them all that he promised, the dorms, cafeteria, and the main buildings. The campus was a lot to take in. From an average size secondary school to a huge college-like American high school that even had a separate building for just the library. This was going to be a lot for the three to take in.
"Well that's basically the whole campus, any questions?" Joe asked the group.
"Yeah, what if we think if any questions later?" Gwil asked.
"Huh. Well I'll give you guys my number, so if you think of any questions, you can just hit me up." Joe continued, "just don't call me, I will not answer."
"Ah, ok. Got it." Gwil said. Joe grabbed some sticky notes from his pocket and began to write his number onto them. Within a minute, he had printed his number onto all three post-its and began to hand them out. After doing so Joe decided to get a better look at the Ben kid.
Joe looked him up and down and was surprised by the boys features and attire. He wore some grey joggers, a blue sweatshirt that had "virginity rocks" written in small, yellow font on the front, and some dirty white converse. Joe found his face to be intriguing. His shaggy blond hair looked dirty and greasy and his eyes were a sage green color. He even had somewhat of a baby face. Joe couldn't tell what his body type was due to his baggy clothes, but he could guess that it was a bit muscular.
Joe thought, 'Ooo, I'm going to like this boy. A lot.' It wasn't like he saw a boy of this kind of beauty everyday. Yeah sure there were a whole bunch of people, both girls and boys, who were willing to date him, but none of them spiked his interest. Not like the way this boy did.
"Hey Ben!" Joe called, grabbing Ben's attention, "you can text me anytime." Joe then proceeded to wink at Ben. Before he could get a look at Ben's face, he was up and away from the group.
Ben was damn lucky that Joe left, or else he would seen his bright red, blushing face.
'Ah shit, not this again.'
