"Just leave me the fuck alone!" I couldn't work out what this guy's problem was? Did he stalk me here?

"Lily, my Mum and sister raised me better than to leave a girl alone and crying in a bar. Come on, let's get you out of here." He hooked his arms under my armpits and picked me up with minimal effort.

"Did you follow me here? I have a good mind to call the Police." I snapped at him once he'd stood me up.

"Wow! You think a lot of yourself, don't you?" He chuckled before he continued, "I was here for a meeting and when it was over, I spotted your pink hair at the bar, that's why I called you. And I hung around because your conversation with that guy seemed intense and I wanted to make sure you were okay."

" I'm sorry." I sniffled. I felt awful for judging him. He was actually being really sweet.

"It's okay. Do you have a room here?" He asked as we exited the bar, his arm around my waist guiding me gently. I shook my head, and he lightly nudged me towards the entrance to the hotel.

His car, a vintage Jaguar E-type, seemed to be there waiting on us, at least I assumed it was his since he sat me in the passenger seat and clipped in my belt before he closed the door and walked around the other side and got in the car himself.

"Where to?" Harry asked, and I realised I had no idea. I had been staying with Anne-Marie while in London but I didn't want to go back there. I couldn't face her and all the questions she'd have. I shrugged as Harry pulled away from the Hotel.

"Where are we going?" I asked once we'd been driving for about ten minutes. I had been staring out the window at random people that passed by, trying to ignore the fact I felt lost inside as well as not actually having a clue where I was.

"Don't take this the wrong way. I just want to make sure you're somewhere safe, yeah?" He had that unsure look on his face again. I felt myself panic. He could be taking me fucking anywhere.

"Where are you taking me?" I demanded.

"I'm taking you to mine. I'm not trying to make a move on you or anything. I promise." His voice was deliberately gentle. I nodded and leaned my head against the window. I had no husband, no home to call my own, I was a mess. I felt the contents of my stomach churning around in my body. Oh fuck!

"Stop!" I yelled as the contents of my stomach threatened to empty themselves all over Harry's car.

"Lily, you'll be safe there. Trust me?" Harry continued to drive.

"Gonna throw up." I fidgeted in my seat, looking for options, my handbag was too small but thankfully I felt the car slow and then it came to a stop. I hurried to open the door and vomited all over the pavement. Hopefully, this was rock bottom because I really didn't think I could fall any lower.

"It'll be okay, Lily." Harry soothed as his hands pulled back my hair. "You'll be okay." I could barely hear his words as I continued to puke.

Once the contents of my stomach were well and truly emptied all over the pavement I froze. I could use a drink of water and something to wipe my mouth but I was too embarrassed to even look at Harry. At least I hadn't got puke all over his car.

"All done?" Harry's free hand gently rubbed my spine. I nodded, and I heard him rustling around behind me. "Here you go." He handed me a water bottle and a face cloth over my shoulder. "Don't worry. It's clean. I keep a few in my gym bag." But I didn't care, I'd already wiped my face and was busy gulping down the water. It felt so good. Harry's hand let go of my hair as I sat back in the chair and I realised I missed the connection.
