Alright so I'm pretty sure everyone heard about the new Kpop sensation Lana

Now I know that there is a lot of mixed reactions from this, People saying that Lana doesn't deserve the spotlight and there are others who agree that she deserves it

In my opinion: I would have to say No

My reason is that first of all the only reason she was able to debut was because of white privilege and her being Non-Asian, There is only a small percentage of Asian in her as the rest of her is caucasion which also brings me into my second reason

My second reason is because of color. If there are many people that look like Lana they would have a fast chance at debut, Another things is that she doesn't receive half the backlash she would of have gotten if she was black or a regular korean

My third reason is that I know not many people will remember or know about them even but Lee Michelle and Yoon mi rae. These two are both blasian (Black&Asian) they don't get alot more praise or more appreciation for their work that they should have but when Lana comes into the spotlight and comes out with a song everyone is so quick to give her praise

I'm not trying to attack her for her vocal\dancing\skills, ect but more so I am simply saying about how Korea are so anti black and don't appreciate black people or blasians but if it' a white person or anyone of pale skin color they will accept (I am saying this because i am a black person and have been observing how fans will get angry for any idols dating, ect but when it comes to cultrule appropriation with black people everyone wants to be quiet and not say anything at all to help which pisses me off) but this doesnt mean I won't stop liking Kpop I just wished they can stop be such colorist and for Korean fans to defend them,I also don't like that she agreed that there was no such thing as white priviliage, like who says that? Like we already know that white priverlliage exist and it IS really revelant in today's society and to put this overall this colorism and racism needs to stop overall because at the end of the day WE ARE ALL HUMANS and just because we are put as a certain race doesn't mean we should be stereotyped a certain way. Anyways thank you for coming to my pep talk btw Stan Michelle lee and Yoon mi rae they are some underappreciated and underrated idols
