chapter 5

(Third person pov)

The team walks to class.  They sit down. Ruby sits next to Y/n and puts her head on his shoulder.  Y/n smiles and puts an arm around her.

Goodwitch: Today I am pitting Cardin Winchester. Versus 16.

16 smiles and walks down.

Galen: He's going to kill him.

Erron: It'll be fun to watch.

Cardin: I'm going to beat you.

16: You have zero percent chance of winning.

Cardin charged for 16 who grabbed him.

16: Down you go. *slams him on the ground*

Cardin got back up. He received a beatdown  and for the finishing touch. 16 kneed him in the dick.

16 walked and sat back down.

Classes ended.

Y/n: Hey Ruby.

Ruby: Y...yeah?

Y/n: Want to go into Vale?

Ruby: Can we get cookies?

Y/n: Sure.  You guys coming with?

Erron: I'm good. Have fun with you're sweetheart.

16: I'm going to watch birds.

Galen: You two enjoy some alone time.

Ruby and Y/n went into Vale. Ruby clung onto Y/n's arm. He didn't mind at all. They walked to the bakery and bought a bunch of cookies.

Y/n plopped the bag of cookies on Ruby's head earning a giggle. 

Y/n: I think that's the first time I've heard you giggle.

Ruby: I...I just feel better around you.

Y/n kissed her forehead earning a blush from her.

Ruby hugged him tightly.  Y/n hugged back.

Y/n: Come on.  Let's go for a walk.

Ruby: Okay.

They walked around the city Ruby eating cookies along the way.  Ruby slowly and cautiously went to hold his hand. 

Y/n saw this and chuckled before holding her hand. Ruby blushed and continued walking with him. 

A few days later it was a class trip to forever fall.  The teams were to collect sap.

Y/n and 16 got their sap.

Y/n: I'm going to check on the others 16.

16: Okay. I'll watch the sap. And the birds.

Y/n went to check on Erron and Galen.

Erron: Howdy.

Y/n: You guys good here?

Galen: We're okay.  As long as Erron doesn't try to drink the sap.

Erron: I'm not Nora. 

Galen: As you say.

Y/n: I should see if Ruby needs help.

Y/n walked over to see Ruby struggling to get the sap out of the tree.  Y/n fixed her mistakes getting the sap to flow nicely.

Ruby: Thanks.

Y/n: *gives kiss on cheek* Anytime rosebud. 

Ruby: *blushes* Y...you don't need to...ki...kiss...me.

Y/n: You're right. I don't.  But I want to. And besides, I love you.

Ruby smiled at Y/n.  Y/n patted her head.

Once they were back.  The team were sent on a mission.  They left Ruby with Jnpr for the time being. 

The mission was to destroy a grimm nest.  The team arrived at the entrance. 

Y/n: Okay team. We find the pool and blow it to smithereens. 

Erron: I got enough ammo. I think.

The team went in. A beowolf pack saw them and alerted the nest. They battled through to the grimm pool spawning more Grimm.

Y/n: 16 blow it!

16 flew over the pool.

16: Hells flash!

The pool exploded.  The remaining grimm were killed by the team.

Galen: I think we got them all.

16: No more life forms detected.  

Y/n: Mission accomplished team.  How many kills?

16: Thirty.

Erron: Twenty five.

Galen: Thrity three.

Y/n: Fourty. You fell really behind Erron.

Erron: Eh. It was an off day today. And its hard to kill anything while in the back.

Y/n: Fair enough.   Let's go home.

The team went back to beacon. 

Y/n: I'm going to pick up Ruby. You three head back to the dorm.

Galen: Alright. 

Y/n went to the Jnpr dorm. He knocked on the door. No one answered. He was confused. He noticed the door was unlocked. He opened the door. And saw only an unconscious Jaune.

Y/n: Jaune!

He ran to him and shook him. Jaune woke up.

Jaune: My head.

Y/n: What happened?

Jaune: Ughhh. Cardin.

Y/n: Rest.

Y/n went to his dorm.

Y/n: Guys with me I'll explain on the way.

The team went to the Crdl door.

Y/n: 16.

16: On it.

16 busted the door open. Team Crdl was surprised.  16 grabbed Cardin by his neck immediately.  Galen held the other three with force choke.

Y/n went up to Cardin.

Y/n: Where. Is. Ruby?

Cardin: I don't know.

Y/n: Don't you lie to me!

Cardin: I'm not! I swear! 

Y/n: And why should I believe you?

Cardin: Because we didn't do anything to her. We only wanted Jaune.  She wasn't there when we were there.

Y/n: Well either way. You still attacked Jaune. And since he's a friend of mine.  16.

16: Down you go. * slams him down making his head go through the floor.

Galen threw the others into the ceiling.

Y/n: ugh. Let's get back to Jaune.

The team went back to Jaune. And Ruby was there.

Y/n: There ypu are Ruby.

Ruby: Y/n! * nearly tackles him in a hug*

Y/n: I was worried about you. 

Jaune: I was going to say that Ruby went to the library with the others before Cardin attacked me.

Y/n: Well I dealt with those idiots anyway. Let's go.

The team went back to their dorm. Just an average day for team yeag
