I try to change as quickly as I can to beat the crowd and find Josh's car. Thinking of this reminded me of the horrid lunch I had experienced today. I can't complain though, no one would do anything about it...
I finally found my way to Josh's car surprisingly fast. He wasn't here yet which was sort of a good thing because I had visions in my head of him leaving me behind. I text him and say 'I'm at the car where are you??' He replies back within minutes 'No you're not I'm in the car!!' Oh no. I'm at the wrong car. I could have sworn this was his car.
I travel around the parking lot looking for Josh's car before texting him. 'Pick me up at the front of the school please I can't find you.' 'Okay fine brat' Although I am hurt, I ignore the 'brat' he put in there.
Finally, he comes to the front of the school and I jump right in. "I was about to leave you" he remarks. "You're very rude!" I tease. I turn on the radio and we fight over what station we listen to, just like this morning.
The short car ride home went by and I gather my things to go inside. I immediately run up to my room to get my homework done quickly. I know, homework on the first day? Blame it on my Geometry teacher.
I finish quickly, understanding most of it. I checked the time and it was only 5:09. I turn on my TV to pass time and scroll through Instagram and Twitter. After about 30 minutes I hear a know on my door. It's definitely not Josh.
"Come in" I hiss. It's my father. "Hey dad" I sigh. "How was school princess?" He has a smile ear to ear and I'm frowning at him. "Not that great." I roll over so I'm facing the wall now. "I'm sorry to hear that," I can feel his smile fade away. He really does care about me. I don't say anything hoping he will leave. After what feels like 5 minutes of silence, I feel him finally getting off the bed and exiting my room.
I turn back to my phone seeing that I got a text from Zach. Crap. Zach. I was falling for that guy in the hallway and Zach hasn't moved on.
