Chapter 1

One Year Ago (Spring Fling)

Walking into the gym I was met with the Most beautiful decorations I had ever seen. I was also met with the sight of the boy I've been in love with since secound grade Bryce Walker dancing with his girlfriend Clair.

I kept walking till i saw My best friend Justin Foley who has been in jail for six months and sneak up behind him to give him a hug. "Hey Justin nice to met you I missed you man." I said " Thanks I missed you too." He said I saw clay briskly make his way to us "Hey Clay " " Did you guys get Tyler's text." "No" as if on cue our phones went off and it was Tyler and the text read get out of the school it's not safe. "Lace stay here while wefigure this out." I just nodded as they left. I stood there alone for awhile before deciding I had to use the restroom and so I made my way out of the gym a towards the bathroom. But I was stoped by Monty near a utility closet. He has had a crush on me since for ever but I have always ignored me. " Hey Lacey were you going." He said sounding pretty drunk. " What do you want Monty?" I asked trying to push past him " You know what I want and tonight I am gonna get it. " He said before grabbing me and throwing me in the closet. You can probably guess what happened next.

He left me crying on the floor of the closet. I sat there balling for twenty minutes or so before building up the strength to stand and go home. I cringed in pain with every step but I didn't care I just wanted to go home.
" Lacy hold up " I turned to see Bryce trying to catch up. " Do you know what's going on with tyler." I kept my head down and stared at the floor " no " I pretty much whispered I then turned to walk away but Bryce grabbed wrist to get me to stay but I jumped away " Hey are you okay." " No" I wisperd as I ran out of the school to my car. I sat in the driver's seat and just broke down. I jumped at the knock on the passenger window . " Lace can we talk" I just stared at Bryce wondering why on Earth he followed me . Then he opened the door and got in. " I'll take that as a yes ... What happened are you okay." I looked at him and saw genuine concern. " No I am not.....Monty h..he.." I stoped try ing to stop the tears from falling " Lace did Monty hurt you." I just shook my head before finally letting the dogs rack my whole body. " Jesus Lace I am so sorry we have tell someone." " No please don't say anything." He just nodded " can I at least hug you." He asked I just learned into his chest and balled my eyes out. That night I layed in my bed and stared at the ceiling and realized my life was never gonna be the same.
