An Uplands High School Story

Chapter 5

The next morning , Chris brought my new uniform for me and I have to give compliments ! IT WAS EXTREMELY CUTE ! I got into my uniform after I took my bath and did my daily exercise . I put on the locket my boyfriend had gave me . It had a ' S+N ' carved on it , inside had a picutre of our both of our favourite moments in the lockets . He gave it to me before I left for this school.

" SNOW ! You done ? We're gonna be late if you keep on powdering your nose ! " I heard Chris shout from the outside of my door . I laughed at his comment and quickly replied , " Ah .... c-coming . " I shouted to him hurriedl . I quickly ran out of the room . Chris started staring at me . " W....what ? I look weird to the max , don't I ? " I asked him nervously . " N-no ! You look kinda .... cute in the uniform . " he told me staggering and whispering the last sentence thinking I wuld not hear . I laughed at him and we started laughing together . He took me to my next class together , the grade 7 and 8 students have classes together so I'm always with him in all my classes . We went into a class , the teacher had jet black hair and glistering blue-ish eyes . Thats when the thought had finally came into my mind ..... IS EVERYONE IN THIS SCHOOL A BEAUTY ?!?!?!?!?! 

" Her names Ms.Pamoline Naisya . Ms.Pam for short . Shes really strict but shes actually more kind then you think if you get to know her more . " Chris explained to me . " Okay. " I told him kindly . " Mr . Parker and Ms.Rosemblath ! Please stop talking ! And if your free , Ms . Rosemblath , why don't you come and answer this question on the board ? " Ms.Pam shouted at both of us . I gulped through my throat , it was Algebra . Okay..... nerd instincts activated .

I used half of the board to do the working . When I finished the question , everyone was staring at me in awe , even Chris . I walked away from the board confused and took my seat . The teacher started asking me questions , all the questions were all common for me until the very question that hit me through the brain and chest . " What are your parents name  ? " I started feeling nauseous and dizzy when the memories of my past flow through my mind  ,  I kept a straight posture and replied politely , " I'm sorry Ms.Pam , I rather keep my privacy to myself then share it . " Everybody started whispering and staring , I ignored them .

After class , it was free time , we were allowed to stretch ourselves and get some fresh air so I went outside . I sat on the grass while enjoying the cool breeze . I took out the locket from the edge of my neck and stared at it  " Whats that , Snow ? " a sudden voice sounded behind me . I turned around with a shocked face and saw Chris . " I-it's nothing ! " I said to Chris as he was smiling away . "Com'on , your stammering , whats that in your hand ? " Chris asked me .

I shook my head vigorously , he kept on begging and bugging me . He made a deal with me , " I'll tell you what , I'll let you in on one of my secrets if you show me whats in your hand . " I thought about it for awhile and then agreed to his offer . I showed him my locket . " Can I open it ? " he asked me . I nodded to his question , he opened the locket and saw the pictures . I blushed then look at his eyes , it had jealousy and hate in them . " W-whats wrong ,Chris ? " I asked him . He just stood up , gripping my locket tightly . " Snow.... are you going out with Nathan Morcell ? " he asked me , I tensed up and nodded . He quickly ran away , I never saw him for the rest of the day .

It was extremely quite without him . I had to ask Eli to guide me through the school the whole day , now I owe her an explanation which Chris deserves to give me too . At the end of the school day , I went back to the dorm house . I opened the door and saw Chris lying down on his bed reading a novel . The air around us were really awkward , I walked into the bathroom and took a quick bath and changed into my jammies . Thats when I realized my locket was still with him . I walked towards Chris and poked his shoulder , " Hey , Chris ? " he turned around and stared at me with his leafy green eyes . " Yeah ? " he replied nicely . At least thats a sign we're cool . " Can I have my locket back ? " I asked him , he nodded and gave it back . I took a seat beside him , " Hey , why were you so mad when you saw Nathan's picture ? " his eyes turned lifeless when I asked him that ." Co'mon , you promised to tell me one of your secrets if I showed you my locket ! " I bugged him and he gave in .

" Fine ! He used to bully me when I was 10 , okay ? We went to the same school , he and his gang always bullied and pushed me against the hallway , every single day was hell for me . Thats when my parents decide for me to admit into Uplands to cure of my fear of him , until you came and showed me his face of him looking happy . "  he whispered the last sentence . Tears swelled in my eyes , I quickly ran into my room and locked it . I fell onto the dloor against the door . I heard footsteps coming towards my door , Chris started banging on the door . " Snow .... open up , I'm sorry , okay .. " I refused to open up , I couldn't sleep the whole night . Dawn came in and I opened the door and heard Chris's snoring in his room , meaning his asleep . I quickly changed into my uniform , grab my stuff and went outside . I knew it was early but I din't had the feeling to see Chris's face .
