Why are agemates clueless about life?

Why do they people,
tend to say life starts
when we graduate?
Why do most of them
think that doing drugs
and irresponsible sex is
when you are living?

My life started the moment
i was concieved,
my life has continued.
It didn't stop when
i was born,
Things got tough
but I was tougher.

I had to learn to survive
and set my limits
so high such that
at no single time
would I question why
I was born or
what my purpose was!
