I looked around my world. I once saw nothing but darkness I now see nothing but white. I looked at myself and found I was dressed in a grey cloak from head to toe.

Did I even have feet? I can't see anything under the cloak. It seemed to touch the ground. Was there even ground? Do I have a face? I had eyes. How else could I see. I didn't feel a nose or mouth. Do I have hands? I waved my hand in front of myself. I learned I didn't have hands. I had black tendrils that came from underneath my cloak.

"What am I?" They were my first words in this empty world.

"You are what you want to be." A voice came out of nowhere. It shocked me. I thought I was alone. Did they think the same way?

"What do I want to be? How do I know what I want to be if I don't know what I am?" I told them. They paused. They were giving the question thought.

"You are Null. My soul keeper."

"Soul keeper..." I let the title sink in. "Does that mean I'm a soul?"

"Not really. You were originally a piece of dark matter." Essentially, I'm not from this world. "I gave you life and I've given you the power to create life. I bet you're lonely. Try making something. Try making... me!"

How was I going to make something that I can't see? "That's not possible. I don't even know what you are."

"I am what you want me to be." They said. Again with this. The voice clearly thought highly of me. I guess I'll try to make something.

"You said I'm a soul keeper. If so, where are the souls?" I asked.

"They aren't made yet. You have to make them." I guess I'll try making their soul. The voice asked me to make them, I guess that's what they meant their soul.

I felt a warmth come from inside my cloak. I opened the cloak. There was nothing but darkness.

"What is this? Why do I feel warm? There's nothing there!" I told the voice.

"Yes there is. I just gave it to you. Raise one of your tendrils." I did so. There was a green light. I raised another and there was a purple light.

"There, two soul pieces. One from my father and one from my mother."

How did they get soul pieces? Where are they now if not here? How did they come to be?

"What am I supposed to do with these? If these are two different soul pieces, how do I make a whole soul?"

"You mix them together and you make a new soul. Now, make my soul. I bet you wanna see me."

So they're a soul? I did as instructed and the pieces swirled together and formed a yellow light. It had eyes but were currently closed.

What is this? Its... cute. I stood there with the thing floating in hand. This is a soul? After a while, it opened it eyes.

"Thanks for making me." It smiled.

"You're welcome I guess. But I think you made yourself."

"Eeeeeeh whatever."

"You told me my name is Null. Then what's your name?" I asked. It didn't answer right away. It was thinking again.

"You can call me... The Creator."

"Are you supposed to be God?"

"No no no no. I'm not God. I am the Creator. I just make things."

"You made me?" It nodded.

"You made this place?" It shook its head.

"This is just an empty space. I'm thinking of calling it the Spirit World since souls can be with other souls without their body present."

"And you want me to do what with them?"

"Guide them. Keep them safe. Be their friend." Seemed like a simple job.

"I can do that."

"Can you make more souls? I want to fill this place up!" It flickered. I just smiled as it gave me more soul pieces and one by one, I made new souls for this new world.
