CHAPTER 1

RAVINE

Somebody, rather, something is chasing me. I can’t define what kind of creature it is. All I know is that it has fierce eyes sharp canines and disgusting flowing saliva. It is extremely huge and black.

Who will not feel scare toward a creature like this? It is a monster… an emphatically fatal d scary monster!

Where am I?

Jesus! I can’t name this place. Its emptiness is much unfamiliar. Nobody’s strolling around. No infrastructures. No anything- Just me and the monster under a dim light of unknown origin.

How I wish I am not yet taking my grand entrance to hell.

Though my energy is already abandoning my body, I prefer not to rest. Even half a second is not to be wasted. If I will tend to, surely I will die. I can do nothing but run for escape. There is no alternative to save myself from that hungry monster.

My legs already ache and my bar feet are badly wounded. I am bathing with sweat. My heart pounds loudly. I can’t breathe anymore. Surely I will then faint.

What shall I do to tie out from this exhausting atmosphere?

 Whoop. Stop.

How troublesome. A ravine!

What will I do now??????

If I will pivot on another direction, I will feed myself to the monster but if I will jump in this ravine, surely I will be divided into pieces after my fall.

Be divided in the monster’s mouth or be divided after jumping in this ravine? I need to choose. These are not very good options but I can’t appeal. This is my circumstance and I need to manage moving around it.

I look back. Oh! Goodness. The monster is coming. This means that my life’s end is now on board. I really want to cry but my eyes do not cooperate with my emotions.

With my right hand, I make a sign of the cross and undecidedly jump into the ravine. I hate pain. Being digested is painful that’s why I choose this death. At least pain will occur later…later on my fall.

My eyes are shut and my body agrees with the pull of gravity and my thought is busy reminicing my past.

I will miss them! I will miss my sweet loving family, my supportive friends, my cool classmates, my challenging professors. I will badly miss them.

Mom, Dad, I love you and I will miss you.

While savoring my last moment on Earth, I hear a beep.

It’s my phone! My cellular phone is beeping!

How come? It can’t be. My cellular phone is not with me.

The phone beeps again, followed by another, then another then… I opened my eyes.

My vision slowly clears. Ceiling? I can se my room’s ceiling! Not just that! I am on my own bed, too! I’m home! I’m home!

Thank you LORD! It was just a   nightmare.

When my spirit calms, I check my phone. Olalla! 7 missed calls and 57 received messages. What is happening on Earth? It’s just 4:37 a.m and my cellular phone gets all these stuffs? Heavens! They really love me!

February 14, 2007− that id the date today. Now I understand why I received them. Do you get it, too?

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Almost all messages contain same greetings except n which is my horoscope.

“CAREFUL. AN EVENT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.”
