It had been a week since his arrival to this new world. A week without the looming fear of Illumi's presence.
Killua couldn't help the sudden ease felt, as if a massive burden had been lifted of off his shoulders. His gaze lingered on the unconscious form of his sister sprawled upon the grass beneath. Her breathing remained deep. Even. It indicated a sense of innocence, and caused a small smile to sprout from the other wise disinterested albino.
The nen that surrounded him seemed normal- average. And citizen of the town seemed to posess any amount of power that he could have deemed as dangerous for the two. Despite the relief of not having to worry too much about Alluka's safety, Killua couldn't help the slight disinterest that filled his gut at the thought of there being no challenge.
During his travells with Gon, everyday had brought a new adventure. Everyday seeemed to be filled with such curiousity and determination, that he was constantly on his toes, though never what he had considered in a bad way. His week here, howeer seemed totally the oppisite, and the grimace that formed on his face said such as he thought.
It was at this, he was snapped out of his musing. Mummuring of voices, getting louder with each second. Upon instinct, Killua activated his zetsu picked up Alluka, zooming behind a tree before the voices could get any louder.
Footsteps where heard, and soon, he foud himself staring down from his perch at a group of teens roughly his age smiling and laughing.
They all seemed to wear the same uniform as he had seen on others, and he had recognised it's colour pallete from what he had searched up in the library two days after their arrival.
Kunugigaoka Junior High. A school known for their excellent grades, and strict ruling system. Killua would have brushed this off like any other idle conversation he had heard so far. He would have turned a blind eye upon whatever fuitless conversation they were having, had it not been for a certain word.
"Man... I'm startin' to feel like killing Korosensei is near to impossible...", The voice came from the boy with grey-blue hair. His eyes, a shade of gentle indigo seemed twistedwith fustration as his hand clenched onto a base ball.
Killua's eyebrow raised slightly, noting how care-free his words sounded despite the weight that they held.
A guy, who's feminine appearance that greatly contrasted his body-language and the uniform choice, seemed to chuckle sheepishly at his friends comment. A notebook was firmly grasped in his hands as he looked down upon it's content, pen raised slightly so it was touching his chin, said in what seemed to be a tired, though determinded voice.
"Considering to the information we've recieved so far of him, it does seem a bit harsh to send a wanted creature, able to move up to mach 20, and rely on a bunch of drop-outs to despose of them..."
Mach 20... Killua's eyes narrowed sightly. Though with his current skill level and how much it had increased so far, the goal of achieving such speeds seemed possible, not even he had been able to travel at that pace before... that and the lack of aura he felt a within his surroundings seemed to re-tighten the not that built up ball inside his gut.
He would most definitly need to invesigate this issue, especially if it would put at riskk Alluka's and Nanaki's life. His attention was brought back to the students at hand when a green haired girl joined the exchange. He noted the slight strain in her smile, how she seemed to force her eyes closed to extend a notation of sheepish logic.
The signs where so suttle, he realised, as the others seemed genuinely unaware of this, and so once again, he had to thank his assassin training for building him up for such situations.
"Well- He did destroy the moon- and has evaded all of the government assualts on him, so they didn't have much of a choice but to obey his command", The three students let out a slight laugh at that, as if it had triggered an inside joke only known to them.
Ah- and there was that issue aswell- Killua sweatdropped slightly upon remembereing the detail he had ;earnt during hos information spree. The moon had mysteriously exploded, cauysing it to take on the permenant form of a thin cresent. Media and international space aegency's coluldn't find the reasons as to why the moon had exploded, and frankly, Killua couldn't have cared less until this very moment intime.
However now it seemed that this would provide a certain threat to them, especially if this creature the students had sent to assassinate had the power to destroy the moon at such a significant scale...
Killua carefully manouvered away from the students, his Zetsu still intact and began to make his way in the opposite direction, and towards the small apartment he managed to rent out. It was troublesome, really. Having to proove that your either old enough to live by yourself- or having to fake an ID, saying that your parentts were abroad on some business trip in order to find a place for yourself to stay without much fuss.
Lucky for him, it didn't take much convincing for the elderly lady who owned the motel to agree to give them a place to stay for the fee of labour. None of the tasks were daunting to him, instead, it provided a good cover up for when he had been accidently caught recharging his nen.
He shivered slightly as the memory arose. That incident slimply confirmed his belief that he just couldn't get along with old women.
He arrived, quicker than expected, and Killua quickly jumped through the window of their cramped room, and place Alluka down on single bed that lay in the middle. He lingered for a moment, admiring the serenity on her face, before falling back by the window, and jumping through.
Now, with Alluka safe, Killua finally turned his attention at the task at hand.
Activating Godspeed, he felt a surge of electricity buzz through his entire being. And without a moments of hesitation, took of in the direction he had seen the students go in.
He would get to the bottom of this, and he would be lying to himself if he said he didn't feel the glimmer of excitemnt settle in his gutts at the thought of a new adventure....
