"Jo ladki aapni maa baap ki sagi nahi ho sakti, who kisi aur ki kaise ho sakti?"

"Nikal jaye iss ghar se, aaj se meri sirf ek hi beti hai...Noor. Dobara apni shakal bhi mat dikhaiye hamein."

"Iske baad main tumhe dekhoon kaise, Zoya?"

"Tumne apne jism ka istimal kiya!"

"Zoya bilqul bacchi ki tarah hai, duniya se anjaan hai. Woh ek sapno ke duniya main rehti hai."

"Sach toh yeh hai, aap kabhi ek acchi humsafar nahi thi Yash ke liye, Zoya beta."

Zoya clenched her ears as she fell down the door. It had been one month since Aditya and she had parted ways yet the demons inside of her soul would not leave her alone. Her parents had been kind enough to take her back into their shelter despite her being such a rebellious child. Although her abbu had wholeheartedly forgiven her, a part of her heart always ached knowing how disappointed she presumed he was with her. Though he was forgiving, it could not be denied that he was always right and she was always wrong. He had foreseen the toxic traits in men she was too blinded in love to see. First it was Yash, then it was Aditya's. Though Yash was a cheating liar, Aditya's betrayal seemed to have stuck a more sensitive nerve within her because it was so unexpected. Aditya and her had been reeling in marital bliss, the honeymoon period as some would call it, they would spend their days missing each other and nights wrapped up in the intimacy of their bed in lustful pleasures. Everything was perfect between them. Till it wasn't. Within the snap of a finger, Aditya's life turned upside down and when Zoya took up a deadly offer to save him, he accused her of being impure. Even after spending nights laid with her in bed, he had the audacity to demean her to that level. After Yash, he was the only man she had been with and she was irrevocably in love with him. How could he have questioned her character like that just because Rajveer said so? Was his love so feeble?

Zoya wiped her tears as she sat on the cold, hard floor of her room. Even though it had been a month, the thoughts never seemed to get better. In fact, she began looking at herself as a failure. Aditya may have broken her heart, but he was right. She was a girl who couldn't even stay true to her parents. She had always disappointed them. Her dad had such great aspirations for her. He wanted her to be a professional, to graduate with honors and become an icon. But she ran away with Yash the minute college was over. Her ammi had instilled such good values in her yet she failed to be a good wife to Yash. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Yash's words about her being an inadequate wife still pierced her heart. She remembered when she used to tell him about her dreams and fairytales about them having four beautiful daughters...he must have thought she was such a fool. He must have laughed at her.

The biggest blow was undoubtedly Aditya. He was her everything. They were so much in love. He once even told her that he wouldn't be able to survive without her, yet he was the one to question her love and character when the slightest of misunderstanding arose. When she fell in love with him, she risked everything. Her abbu hated her, her sister would no longer talk to her and she had potentially lost them forever. But it was all worth it if only she got Aditya in the end. Yet he taunted her of being untrue to her family.

She felt not only disheartened, but worthless. She had failed at every juncture of her life. She was just a simple event planner as opposed to the professional graduate her dad wanted her to be. She was a lousy wife to Yash and a used piece of garbage to Aditya.

These thoughts had plagued her mind for a whole month now. She tried to fake a smile as best as she could for her family. They had been so kind even though she felt as if she didn't deserve it, the last thing she wanted to do was make them think she wasn't alright.
