Chapter 2 The Secret

*Soul's P.O.V*

I woke up by someone singing. I got out of bed and went to check who it was. I looked all around, when I saw (F/N) looking at the window singing a song I never heard. I was standing there quietly and listening to her. The melody sounds sad. When she stopped, she turned around and saw me with her eyes wide open.

"You can't sleep?" I questioned.

"Yeah." She replied and looked at the ground.

"How about we watch T.V. until you feel sleepy." I told her and she nodded. I got the remote, put the volume a little down and put on to a movie. I sat next to her, and put her blanket on top of us. I looked at hr blush.

"Soul." She said my name and looked at me.

"Hm.." I hummed.

"Do you promise not to tell anyone this?"

"I promise."

"Pinky swear?"She took out her pinky.

"Pinky swear." I responded again and crossed my pinky with hers.

"I'm not like you, Maka or Blaire. I'm different."

"What do you mean different?" I was so confused.

" I am a nine tailed fox." She said seriously. My eyes widened. I remembered that Maka told me about the nine tailed foxes. She said only one is born every 100 years.

"I don't believe you." I think she is lying or just playing around with me.

She stood up, turned her back to me and lifted her shirt a little. "W-what are you doing?!" I stood up fast and pulled we shirt down. I blushed a little.

"Soul, let me show you proof. Please... I trust you." She begged. She lifted her shirt. Her right shoulder blade had a paw print birthmark.

"This doesn't show me proof."

"Wait." She transformed, she had nine tails, fox ears, sharp teeth and claws."I hope you're not afraid of me. Let me show you something, give me your arm." I looked at what she was going to do to my arm. She stabbed my arm an then her's.

"Argh!" I screamed.

"Shh... I'm sorry." She apologized. My arm was bleeding intensively. She got close to my arm and licked the wound. The pain was going away. She lifted her head and looked at me. I looked at my arm, there was no wound, I looked at her arm and it was closing.

"You healed my... arm." I looked at her with wide eyes." How?"

" I can heal the person by licking there wound, giving them my blood or kissing them on the mouth. I can also bring someone back to life with there soul and my blood."

"How is it a secret?"

"If you tell anyone, they will haunt me down to death."

"Who?"

"You meisters, weapon, and witches will kill me." She took a deep breath, transformed back and then sat down next to me. She got under the blanket.

"Back then when I was only 5, meisters and weapons were killing my clan, called The Fox Clan. Everyone were normal foxes who can transform into human, but me. I saw all of them get killed right in front of me. My mom hid me behind a big bush. I peaked and saw a witch killing my parents. They checked if anyone in my clan survived. They took the dead bodies' souls. I ran away." She paused and took a deep breath. " I crashed into a woman. I looked at her knowing this would be my end, but she friendly smiled at me. She picked me up and knew I was from the Fox Clan. Her name is Karin. She took care of me, protected me and loved me like my mother did. She Was my foster mother. She studied my power and trained me how to use it. And the lullaby you heard, was the lullaby my mother sang to me when little."

"(F/N), are you scared of me?"

"No because I trust you."

"(F/N)... Don't worry, I will protect you."
