CHAPTER 1
I shouldn't be here hearing their music. Kung hindi dahil sa kaibigan ko ang isa sa kanila. Niks pushed me to listen to their band. I hate rock bands. I mean, I can't appreciate their music. I'm into classis ones kasi. And their name? ang korni para sa akin. The Dumbs? is that even good to be a band name? I was thinking like Metallic, etc etc. If I am their manager I won't approve with that name. If not because of their looks maybe hindi sila sisikat.
Lumakas yung hiyawan ng mga estudyante nung maghubad ng damit si Ash, yung lead vocalist nila na guitarist din. Sumunod na rin si Nikko na lead guitarist daw nila. Nanatili namang nakadamit si josh na basist at yung nagpapiano na si mark.
They just won sa contest na sinalihan nila. Its a contest for teen boy bands dito sa lugar namin. Ngayong Acquaintance day eh pinagperform sila ng student council kaya heto sila ngayon tumutugtog.
The audience get wild ng palitan na nila yung kanta nila into a party rock songs. Its like students were in a club banging and dancing with each other. I was just standing here at the right side of the stage dahil isa ako sa student council.
"Their so good right bella?" I gave a bored look at candice, isa sa student council. She has a huge crush on nikko. ako rin pero kaibigan ko sila pareho kaya eto, one sided love at sikreto pa.
"I don't think so candy, their not even worth the watch for me if it wasn't for nikko" She rolled her eyes at me.
"Why couldn't you just be happy for your friend, cheer him, don't be so KJ" I am happy for him.
"I just don't enjoy music like that, masakit sa tenga sa sobrang lakas, nag acoustic na lang sana sila" kumuha ako ng vacant chair at umupo pero katabi ko pa rin si candy. Natapos rin yung kanta nila at nagpaalam na sa crowd. Sa side naman namin sila dumiretso. Lumapit sa amin si niks kasama yung banda niya. Kaya etong katabi ko patagong kinikilig.
"How was it bella?" masaya niyang tanong.
"Seriously you're asking me niks?" sagot ko. Mukhang naghintay naman siya ng isasagot ko.
"I don't like it, my ear hurts because its so loud. But I guess I'm just the only one who feel that way, look at the crowd their happy" diretso kong sagot. Did I just offended them? Geez. Nagbago yung mga itsura nila. Siniko naman ako ni Candice.
"Hey, I was joking. That was great for an amateur" I gave them a peace sign. Bumalik naman yung ngiti ni niks.
"Ikaw talaga sige pahinga lang kami" paalam niya saka umalis. Ash look straightly in my eyes like there was something in it. I just shrugged and face at the paper I'm holding.
"You're such a meanie bella, they are good naman eh, specialy nikko's guitar skills"
"yes there good but I just don't like loud music. Ash can sing, nikko can play guitar nicely, josh is so cool but still mysterious and mark plays piano beautifully, are you happy now?" sarcastic kong sabi pero mukhang natuwa naman siya kaya napailing na lang ako.
"yes I am but, what is it with the loud music at ayaw mo?" takang tanong niya. Nagpatuloy lang yung sunod na program which is the pageant.
"I don't know, hindi lang siguro ako sanay candy, lumaki kasi akong nahilig sa classical music" She gave me a look saying seriously.
"I'm telling the truth Candy" paliwanag ko. Her lips turned into thin line.
"You know what, makisabay ka sa usong music bella like that rock, kpop, rnb, etc wag yung classical lang" i rolled my eyes. Tsk.
