Don't Let Go

Chapter 4- Home.

** Beca's POV **

I woke up to an empty bed. Right, Chloe had classes this morning. Every night that I've spent in her room, I've slept so much better.
I went downstairs and noticed no one was around. I was suddenly hit by a certain melancholy. An empty house. Not a home, a house. This is kind of like what I was talking about with Chloe. I decided to quickly throw on a sweatshirt and just left the house. I didn't bring anything with me, not even my phone. I only brought $5 to buy a coffee, but I just wanted to walk around.
I just went wherever I was drawn to. I stayed lost in my thoughts. Sometimes I just needed to step back a little and calm down. I don't wanna take my sadness out of the girls, especially Chloe. I don't want to be a burden, it's not their problem.
I kept walking around until I slowly found my way back to the Bella house and saw them all sitting down in the living room.

"Beca!!!!! Oh my god I was worried sick! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Chloe came up and hugged me then examined me.

"I'm fine Chlo.... why?"

"Well it's 4pm and no one's heard from you all day. We've been calling you for hours. Aren't we all gonna eat before karaoke?" Stacie chimed in.

Oh shit.

"I'm sorry guys. I just went on a walk outside. I- I really didn't mean any harm. I- I just left my phone here because I needed to clear my thou-." I paused. "I just needed to go do some things. That's all." I was a little flustered.

I still didn't want to burden them. I felt all their eyes on me. Too late. They're worried. I could tell Chloe was about to speak but I didn't want to talk about the situation anymore so I lightened the mood by laughing and saying "Well how about that food huh? Then we can sing."

The Bellas all hesitantly nodded and we went out to lunch. We ended up having to split into two separate tables because the restaurant didn't have enough space. On one table I was sitting with Chloe, Aubrey, Amy, and Stacie. The other was Flo, Jessica, Ashley, Emily, Lilly, and CR.

"Sooo, who's ready for karaokeeeee?" Stacie broke the silence

"Meeeee! I have some great things in store tonight!" Chloe winked

Aubrey giggled. "Beca, what are you gonna sing?"

"I don't know if I will. I guess we'll see" I shrugged.

Aubrey was about to say something until a waiter came to our table and interrupted. We all quickly ordered our food and sat in silence for a bit.

"I hope there's hot people at the karaoke place tonight." Stacie caught everyone off guard. "What? He's still hunting..."

We all sighed.
"Well, how are your dating lives going?" Stacie began.

"Eh. Not much is happening right now" Aubrey responded.

"I kind of have my eye on someone but I don't think I'm gonna do anything about it..." Chloe mumbled.

"Wait what? You've been asking me questions about who I'm interested in when you've had your eye on someone too?" I replied

"Beca you're into someone?" Stacie smiled

"Why didn't you tell me Chlo?" I ignored Stacie

"I don't know Becs.. I guess I just wasn't really ready to tell you."
