From Emperor to Empress

Chapter 2

"The Empress wishes to request The Emperors' audience."

The guard called out from the entrance, blocking the said important visitor who was waiting impatiently on the side as he patiently awaits his majesty command.

"En. Let her in."

ZhaoHui sighed helplessly, he couldn't muster the strength to lift his head to greet the said visitor who just walked in leisurely.

Well, there was no point anyway since he's gonna be getting a big headache, he might as well rest this head of his for now.

He waved off all his retainers to leave before signalling his Royal dark guards off as well, making sure it was only him and the empress presence at the pavilion.

"Aiya! How rude! My, ZhaoHui how sad can you be for not coming to greet this empress of yours?!"

A figure rushes in, darting towards his way looking rather undignified and of course, definitely unfitting of a lady of her status.... the empires Empress.

"Is this how you should act in front of We!"

Qin ZhaoHui raised his voice, immediately glaring at the approaching figure, annoyance laced in his tone.

"Excuse me your majesty, but this empress requests for you to watch your tone." The Empress narrowed her eyes, tone filled with warning.

The two eventually had a stare-off, not once breaking their gaze, unfortunately only after a couple of seconds pass by it was Qin ZhaoHui who lost this round.

Qin ZhaoHui watches as the Empress pokes her tongue out pulling one of her bottom eyelids down like a child, immediately he scoffed, shaking his head before sighing.

"Li Shuang are you not afraid of being beheaded with that tone and disrespect you are speaking to Zhen with?!"

The woman who appeared to be name Li Shuang rolled her eyes as she sat opposite of the emperor, "Oh my how scary, I'm shaking." The female gave him a deadpanned look, clearly showing the opposite reaction to what she said.

ZhaoHui couldn't help but scoff at the female attitude, but in truth, he wasn't angry he was quite used to it after all this is their way of friendly banter you could say.

Li Shuang was indeed the countries empress, even though she spoke some crude words and can be quite... boisterous that didn't shake of the aura that shone from her.

Her long jet black hair was currently styled in a complicated updo that had jewels heavily decorated around her head, one particularly hanging from one end to another on her forehead.

What determine her status overall was the golden Phoenix that stood proudly in the middle, it showed the world who she was and what power she held. Her brows are quite straight only arching a little in the end, brown coloured eyes that glinted a light hue in the sun as her nose was small with a perfect arch.

She looked like she came from a painting that was drawn with such precision and care by the gods and goddesses. What top of her looks were her cherry lips that glisten in the sun.

No wonder she was considered one of the top beauties of the Qin Empire.

*Sigh* "How did I ever wed such a bum man such as yourself." Li Shuang sighed in regret and sorrow. Her chin rest against one of her palm, a pout formed on her lips as her eyes gaze towards the carefree fishes.

"You mean why did I marry a woman such as yourselves? Yeah, that's more like it!" Retorted the offended emperor as he humphs at the empress before turning away with his arms cross.
