Diavolo × Reader

- Chapter 1 -

You were walking back from work, you were tired, it was cold, and you were in a bad mood lately. You see, the last two episodes of Vento Aureo aired some days ago, and it was revealed how Diavolo died.

Thinking about it, he deserved to die, but wasn't that death too too cruel? He'll keep dying forever. Technically right now, he's dying. But he won't reach death. As long as he's very near to dying, his reality will change, and he'll suffer again till se gets close to death, then that will happen again, again and again. Feels bad to think about it. Isn't it possible for people who have mistaken like him to learn, and if they do, can't they be forgiven? That's what you thought.

You walked down the streets, it was pretty dark and chilly but it's not like you cared. You turned the corner, going into a hallway that was extremely small and dark. It was considered dangerous, specially for ladies, bit you did get a black belt in karate for a reason. And besides, instead of walking another 6-8 minutes, 3 minutes were better.

You walk in there, confident, till a cold drop hits your nose. 'oh boy, does it have to rain now?' you think as you take out your small umbrella from your bag and open it, then proceed to return to walk. Suddenly, a flash of light blinds your vision, followed by a thunder sound. It takes some seconds for your vision to come back, you look at the ground, 2-3 meters away from you, some smoke coming from the ground. You get a little closer 'the thunder was this close and nothing happened to me? Wow. That sure was interesting' you think as you look at the spot- wait, what's this?

A body? But you were sure no one was Infront of you, how is that possible? You bend down to look closer. Pink hair with black spots..lace.. muscular body and purple pants. Wait, is this a joke? What's a cosplayer doing here? He's obviously dressed as Diavolo but, did he get hit by the thunder? Oh god

You reach with with your hand to touch his hair..it feels real. The body is laying on his stomach. You gently turn it, you needed to check if the guy was alive or not and most importantly..look at his face.

You are a believer that everything can happen, that not because you can't imagine something or that you never witnessed a specific thing then it doesn't exist. The universe is big, maybe infinite, and maybe..what's on your mind just happened. You must check thought.

You look at the face..black, more purple like lipstick. Sharp, gorgeous features, his face looks exhausted thought. Yeah, it's exactly what you were thinking. You're not the type to get shocked, but this is definitely a surprise. You check for the pulse, ok, it's there. You put your hand on his chest and observe, ok, he's breathing, he seems like he's struggling but at least he's not dead.

If your theory is right, this is the actual Diavolo. Is this Gold Experience Requiem's power? Is he supposed to die sooner or later? He's not dead, you're not sure if that thunder made him come here or it hit him. If it did, he should have been dead by now, but he isn't. You cover him from the head to the torso with your umbrella. You told yourself 'i'm going to protect him'.

You waited for a bit, you can't call the ambulance, this is Diavolo, he's too proud and besides, it's dangerous. He technically has no papers or documents, if they don't find his identity then the cops will be called. And even if he has documents, they'd be from 2001 and all Italian documents. they won't work here.

You slap his face gently, "wake up" you tell him, giving him more slaps. His face twitches a bit and he slowly opens his eyes, "wh..at" he whispers. His voice cracking and sounding tired. Poor guy, what has he gone through. He looks at your (E/C) orbs, your face features for some seconds. "Sir, are you ok? Do you speak engl-" you start, quickly getting interrupted with "stai lontana da me..." [stay away from me...] He whispers to you. "Sir, I'm here t-" you get interrupted again with a scream "STA LONTANA DA ME, DONNA!!!!!" [STAY AWAY FROM ME, WOMAN!!!!!] before he tries to stand up, failing as he drops down, his legs abandoning him but he doesn't give up. He crawls away from you, you can tell that he's terrified, he's shaking.
