the next morning, seungcheol woke up with a splitting headache. he looked around, realizing he wasn't in his bedroom.
he tried recalling last night, but couldn't remember much.
i was dumped... then i went to that bar... then...
seungcheol continued trying to piece together last night as he got up from the bed and exited the room.
once he reached the living room, he found himself in an open area. he looked to the right where the open kitchen was, and saw...
"j-jeonghan?"
jeonghan looked up from what he was doing and smiled as he saw seungcheol.
"good morning, coups. i'm just making breakfast. oh! your head is hurting, right?" he grabbed hangover medicine from the side and slid it across the island counter to seungcheol.
"...thanks," seungcheol muttered, taking the small bottle.
"so, um, care to explain why you were drunk at a bar last night?" jeonghan said as he cut strawberries on a cutting board.
"oh, jihoon broke up with me."
"ah, i see..."
feeling awkward, seungcheol sat down on the barstool and watched jeonghan's hands as he carefully cut the strawberries.
"why am in your house?"
"you called me."
"oh," seungcheol frowned, still only remembering bits and pieces of last night.
"why was i in your bed?"
"don't worry, i slept on the couch."
dang. i actually hoped-
"you don't seem relieved,"
"n-no! i am!" seungcheol stuttered, his face feeling hot.
jeonghan just chuckled, then put his focus back to the breakfast he was making. he carefully put the strawberries on the pancakes he had made earlier, then topped it off with maple syrup.
"wah, that looks amazing, jeonghan!"
"of course it does, don't underestimate my cooking skills," he rolled his eyes, carrying the plates to the dining table.
they sat down and dug in.
. . .
school started, but i have a lot of breaks over the next few months so i should be able to continue and wrap up the story soon.
