My boss, Ling Mao Er, is a model. You may not have heard of him, but that’s fine, it’s not like he’s very popular anyways.
My boss raised a Siamese cat. This breed of cat is a bit wilful and its fur colour would change according to the temperature: its face would appear a bit black when it’s hot and it would be super black when it’s cold. My boss explains that this change is because the body tries to absorb more heat when it gets cold. Whether or not this is true, I have no idea, but it sounds pretty fake.
My boss’ skin tone leans on the darker side even amongst Asians. Putting it nicely, it’s honey coloured. However, because he claims to be a Chinese-Thai mix and his features are quite pronounced, it’s fine that he’s a bit darker and even adds a bit of exotic beauty.
What I worry about is that he’s been getting darker by the day since winter began. If it continues like this, the excuse of being a Chinese-Thai mix won’t hold. Would it be too much if we announce a correction that the boss is actually a Chinese-African mix?
The person himself doesn’t seem too worried and claims to the public that he was tanned when he vacationed at the beach. But the boss’ schedule isn’t a secret, the media and fans can easily discover that he hadn’t gone to the southern half of the world recently, how would he round the lie if they questioned him? Are there even people who would vacation to the seaside during the winter?
The issue of the boss getting darker and darker has already caused direct financial losses. Not long ago, one of his endorsements was scrapped, the reason being that the other party worried that it (his skin tone) would affect the sales of the whitening face mask.
Oh right, my boss getting darker has nothing to do with Siamese cats, I just took advantage of the moment* to show off the cat. Although it’s my boss’ cat, but I often take photos of it to post on my personal Weibo to attract fans, the Weibo of small animals are very well-received after all. Not long ago, I even received the affirmation of a meng** pet expert and collected some more fans.
The question I wanted to ask today is: The fans always say that the photos I take suck, but I’ve already tried my best. How, exactly, do I take photos so that they don’t turn out lousy?

Siamese cats are temperature-sensitive albinos. The modifier gene, called a Siamese allele, causes albinism but only shows up above a certain temperature (about normal cat body temperature). This means that its extremities such as the ears, paws, etc. which are cooler are pigmented because said modifier gene is not ‘active’. It’s face is darker because there are many orifices and temperatures are lower there. Kittens are born almost pure white due to the temperature of the womb and will slowly darken over time.
Seal point cats (like LME) are actually black cats with a defective form of Tyrosine (responsible for the black colouration) that does not function at normal body temperature, causing areas that are at body temperature to appear white.
In other words, the colour of Siamese cats will indeed lighten when it gets warmer and darken when it gets cold. If you manage to get your Siamese kitty to wear socks for long periods of time, maybe those black paws will slowly turn white~
It’s true that black will absorb more heat and stuff but sadly, it isn’t the reason for the colour change. Ling Mao Er is kinda bsing Ke Le, that poor child.
