In the dark

Part 1 - The dark

I've seen darkness before,that kind we see everyday , that kind we sleep in the night and make some kids scared.This is different,this robs your time in the world.It wont let you enjoy or have an emotion, mine was taken away, usually darkness fears you , but it's not fear i feel, the despairing thing is I don't feel anything. It numbs you and that we humans want it to be at times,but when that happens it's to late. I don't feel shit, to my friends, family or myself.It's like an addiction once you enjoy being numb , away from the pain you get lost in the dark , and now I'm stuck , all i see is dark.
Walking down the silent street i awaited for my answers. But why was I here? Why was I risking my life for this? All i knew was i was doing the right thing. Even though i didn't heard any sound from the street since everybody was at the party i felt someone close was near me , my answers are close, i can feel it.
8:00Am, September 3rd,2019

"Hannah wake up! You don't want to be late for your first day"shouted mom.

"Just a second!" I answered even though i lied

"You said that 10 minutes ago , you better get up now it's 8:00 and you can't be late"

Even though i was already dressed i was extremely tired and not that ambitious for my last year. I laid back on the bed and rested my eyes.

Loud footsteps came up the stairs like a soldier marching into war.

"Hannah get up now, were leaving 8:15 , Hayley is ready and Tommy so cmon your dragging us back.And don't make me come back up"she nagged

"Okay , okay ill get up , fine "

After being dragged out of the house ,my friend Sarah was awaiting me outside.Sarah looked very well done and tidy ,blond from root to tip, born to bring more golden sunshine to this world, it showed to, in those soulful eyes as bright as the sun and very warm. But despite being very well done she was also exhausted

"You ready?"she yawned

"Yes cmon lets get this day over with" i replied

"Are you getting a lift with me or are you walking with Sarah because I've got to leave now because i need to be in work by 9 and its a 20 minute drive so?"asked mom

We both looked at each other knowing we were going to walk but couldn't get the answer out.

"I'm walking with Sarah mom"i said

"Okay have a good day at school and behave, bye Sarah, bye Hannah, I love you"

She started the car and left quickly in hurry.

"So how's the holidays been?" Asked Sarah curiously

"Fine I guess?, I mean it could have been better but I got to spend some time healing"

"I miss her as well, we will find her, she couldn't have gone far."

"But why would she leave? I don't get it , she wouldn't just leave out of nowhere she was happy "

"Maybe there was something that was wrong and she didn't tell us, there must be something"

"She would've told us Sarah, she would , she tells us everything, I tell her everything so why would she start having secrets now?"

"I don't know , I really don't, and I wish I do but I don't. I wish I had the answers to everything but none of us has a clue, all we know is she left her house 9:00pm"

"The police are doing everything they can, all we can do is wait and pray that Misty is safe and that she's run off and will come back home"

Outside of school was crowds of students outside with police officers And forensics.

"Everybody leave and return home this is a crime scene, everybody go home" yelled the officers.

All i could hear was kids shouting different words.

"Someone's dead!"

"A body"

"Look at the blood its everywhere!"

"Oh my god ! "

What happened? Who was the dead body? Was it Misty? Was it someone else?
